Well it's an arm wrestling trucker dad son love story with Sylvester Stallone and a few 80's wrestlers who everyone forgot about where one guy drinks motor oil before arm wrestling.what more could you want!!??full of action, drama, biceps and enough testosterone it'll make you wanna chug motor oil and arm wrestle your cat!this movie is unintentionally funny and i'm ashamed to admit it's pretty exiting in some parts. If you liked Rambo and rocky then for sure if you find this movie around 5 or 6 bucks it's a good buy for you.Arm wrestle your cat!!wtf? =]
I watched this movie a long time ago and it was still as good as I remembered it. The movie follows the path of a father and son learning to love each other and getting to know one another while driving across the US in a semi. The sidebar of the arm wrestling shows us how far a family will go to be together. Awesome movie!!! FIVE STARS!
I like the movie because my favorite actor stars in it. Also, I like the story and the theme to it. The story is about a father trying to unite with his son who he didn't get to raise up because he left his wife and his son long ago. Though the story is based on arm wrestling, it has a happy ending of Lincoln Hawk and his son Michael uniting at the end. One thing good about the character Lincoln Hawk is he shows good sportsmanship to Bull Hurley after he defeats him in the final arm wrestling match.
Love this movie! I never get tired of watching it. Especially since Sylvester Stallone wins every time! You can't help but get caught up in it even if you may not be a fan of arm wrestling. Sly is a dad trying to get close to his estranged son. His son is bitter at first but comes to realize that his dad is pretty cool after all. One of those all-ends-well movies that is fun to watch over and over!
Although this film was released in the 80s i watched this as a kid in the 90s. Its a very unique film. It focuses on what may have been popular at the time as a sport "Arm - Wreslting" Very good story of a runaway father who attempts to recocile his family. Everybody lives with regrets only some decide to do something about it, in this case stallone ventures on the road of redemption and karma.
