glad I bought this for my almost 8 yr old daughter

This is one of the best devotion books I have bought my daughter yet! I especially like that it has us look up a scripture passage first and then the devotion provides a story that incorporates a lesson from the portion of scripture that was just read. Next there a few pointed questions to get my daughter (and me!) thinking about what this has to do with my own life. There is also a verse to memorize (we don't memorize it, but we do emphasize it) each day that underlines the theme of the day. It is also simple and direct enough for her to do if I am not in the room with her. ( I want her to get the hang of personal devotions.The last one we bought seemed to have an agenda and on occasion, I disagreed with the theology behind the content. This book, so far (several months) has been theologically sound.

Great for tweenies

I find the stories very informative for how a child would handle everyday situations either at school or with other siblings. My 8 yr old prefers me to read the devotional to her at night so she can better understand what the story is saying. I'm hoping that by the time she's 10 yrs old she will be able to read this devotional on her own.

I'm very glad I bought this and would recommend this for anyone who wants their daughters to have good morals reinforced.
