Nintendogs: Chihuahua & Friends DS

My daughter had wanted one for over a year and we finally bought her the Ds system with the dog game to go with it. She loves it. The game teaches her responsibility. She has to care for the dogs she buys. She has to pay for thier food, baths, water ect. They have to walk the dogs and clean up after them in order to avoid fines. She has to earn money to care for them or get more dogs, by training them to compete in competitions for prize money. These dogs are very realistic they do not always listen and if you do not train them correctly they do not do what you want them to do. If you do not care for them they get sick. She has also enjoyed hours of just playing with the dogs teaching them new tricks. Sometimes a dog just wont learn the trick she is trying to teach it, and she has to try another way or another trick. Each of her dogs are different in thier own way with thier own personalities. Some learn faster than others. I tell you it is just like real dogs. No one dogs has trained just like the one before she has to come up with different ideas for ech dogs personality. I think this game is a great way of showing young boy and girls how much responsibility a real pet can be. I am very happy with this product!!!!

Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends (Nintendo Ds)

I love this game because, 1) you get to adopt a cute furry friend, 2) you get to play, walk, feed, bathe and much more with your puppy, 3) It stays a puppy forever! 4) If you have a friend with a nintendo ds and any nintendogs game (doesn't have to be chihuahua and friends) you can do bark mode and play with your friend's puppy!!!
A disappointment is that your dog can't grow up and have puppies. You can buy a game called Dogz 5 or Catz 5 for your computer and you can have dogs that will have puppies.

Graphics
The graphics are really good and make the dogs look real.If you look closely you can see the dog breathing!

Gameplay
There is a lot to do!You can take your dog for a walk, enter it in a competition, play with it , or go shopping.There are three different kinds of competitions agility, disc and obedience.You get money for winning competitions .In shopping you can go to the kennel to buy a dog, get your house decorated at the interior decorator , buy items from the pet supply, sell items to the second hand shop or put your dogs in the dog hotel.There are lots of different kinds of dogs they are chihuahua, dachshund, labrador, pug, yorkie, pinscher, shih tzu, kc spaniel, toy poodle, jack russel, beagle, shetland sheepdog, schnauzer golden retriever, boxer, corgi, husky, german shepherd, shiba inu and dalmatian.You can also go on bark mode which is the two player.

Sound
The sound is good and you can find records on a walk.

The game lasts for ages & you'd never get bored! This game is a must have for every DS owner: boy, girl or adults.

Excellent for dog lovers

I decided to buy this game because i thought it would be fun to have a virtual pet that does more than just poop and eat, like the giga pets. I like how i can train the dogs to do tricks as well as enter them into contests and win trophies and money. The one thing i did not like, however, was the fact that the seller had tried the game and had not erased it. Instead of starting off with 5,000 dollars and no puppies, i started off with 500 dollars and 3 puppies. I ended up having to get rid of the puppies and start off with 500 dollars. But that is the only part i was not happy with. Other than that i would recommend this game to all dog lovers everywhere.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I played it to see what it is like and OMG! This has got to be the sweetest game ever! The dogs will come up to the screen to you when you say their name! You can teach your dog to do all kinds of tricks when you say them. You take your dog to shows and competitions and win money and other things. Each game has the ability to unlock all 16 breeds of dogs too. So the more you play the bigger the game becomes, so to speak. It is easy to understand and there is a Help area in the game so if you need help you dont have to always have the manual with you as it is built into the game. It is a great game for children 7 and up.
