I used D90 nearly one month, but I am old nikon user... D90 has more too many function can use with out menu, front and backside buttons more usable. It can work AF(also AF-S) lens so more kind lens can use. you can use SB600 or newer product with out any wireless triger. just select chanel and use it wireless. it has 11 point focus. so you can select easily in picture and Program mode you can use this settings. but in D60 only M-A-S mode give chance to use which point focus. BKT selection is working very good for HDR photos. Only video mode I dont understanding why they lock us 5 minutes. it must be unlimited with fast SD cards. nowadays I am using that 30MB/s write Sd card so Nikon must be give software update for change this settings.
I think D90 it will be use many years because new model D7100 start for selling but D90 price didnt decrease too much. Because people like this machine.
if you thinking start with this model for taking photo you must buy books and course for this subject. this machine is for half prof model. Dont take D90 and use it auto mode.
The item is excellent!!! I decided to buy this item because I needed small camera with good performance. It's so comfortable, I'm pregnant and I want to take a pictures in every moment on my little baby. I was surprised because the camera make a very good pictures.
I love this camera. I notice a huge difference in quality compared to the D40 (my old camera), a lot less noise on a high iso, more than I expected. I do a lot of live music photography and it works a lot better with low light, I'd recommend it to anyone thats looking for a cheap but decent camera.
I have used a nikon d80 for over 4 years and as the price of the d90 had reduced since the d7000 was introduced I thought that I would take one step forward.I have always been happy with the d80 and can confirm that the d90 builds on that model to the extent that it should provide all the requirements an amateur photographer needs.
The camera handles well is reasonably light and accepts all the nikon lenses I have ever bought. Results are excellent even upto poster size.I see no point in paying a great deal more for the minimal improvements embodied in the high end nikons.
I was looking for a camera to replaced my Nikon N90 that I used happily for many years, the D90 is great good quality pictures is much more complicated to used than my reflex but with time I think I will achieve the full potential of this camera the only down side is the battery only last a few hours, is fine if you are in studio and you can recharge it, but not working on outdoors
