Awesome upgrade into the world of DLSR, totally worth the purchase price!

Received this as a birthday gift to upgrade from my non-DLSR cameras as I am moving more into professional photography and needed a better camera. I am still learning about all the features but takes great images. Once figured out how to change the lens auto capture feature, that kept wanting to search for everything other than what I was wanting to capture. I feel it is very much like the Canon Rebel in image quality, I used a friends Canon but was more impressed with my Nikon. A must is the longer VR zoom lens.

Good Camera for the money, high quality video!

I got this as a refurb and have used it for 1 week of work use. I will say that going from a camcorder to a camera like this was a little daunting, but after a day or two of studying the manual and learning the cameras features, I began to realize how powerful of a tool I had in my hands. It has lots of options, I like the layout of the buttons for the most part. I do wish though that you could adjust the f-stop in "real" mode, when you can see what the camera does on the monitor. It's not a big deal, but it would be a nice touch. Otherwise I find that it is predictable and of decent build. I feel like the body is a bit on the cheaper side of some cameras I have used, and the body is not weather-sealed. I also wish the pictures would snap a little faster. Other than these things, I love the camera. It's like a Toyota, not a Ferrari but predictable and reliable. I would buy again.

Great Camera

Just getting used to it, but so far I am very happy with all of the features and ease of use. After being disappointed by a D3200 that I ordered on Amazon I was totally happy with the shipping and receipt of my new camera from EBay. I will be going out and photographing everything until I have all of the features down pat. I can't wait to become throughly familiar with the beautiful D5200. I love photographing wildlife, children, animals and just nature. I will also be using the camera for weddings and events.

I like it

This is my first DSLR camera, and I like it, awesome pictures, great video, however the battery is not good enough, runs out quickly, I already purchased two more batteries, if you need it for whole day it may not be enough, but the rest is cool!

Best camera for the budget buyer

I love this camera, best quality for the price. Plenty of features to choose from, awesome image quality and 1080p recording at 60 frames per second for a low price
