Nike SQ MachSpeed STR8-FIT Driver Golf Club

The ability to change the face angle from 2 degrees closed to 2 degrees open in 1 degree increments is unbeatable. The shaft is 50 grams which is very light, but the club still has very good feel. I am used to a 757 speeder X flex that has about 83 grams, but this club had to loss of feel and I have no complaints about the lighter shaft. The only "FYI" point I would make is that the face of the club is not as deep as most other similar clubs which I am used to having. But, the overal address, feel, and playing performance is right on par. The club has a very good sound, I would compare it to the solid sound of most Cleveland drivers. .. it is a very solid with a slightly higher pitched sound, which is a plus for me. Overall I would give the club a 9.8 out of 10. The .2 being lost for lack of depth in the face and at address the club as the 'illusion' to be shorter than 45", but it is not. It is just the way the head is designed. After I bought this club, I measured it against several other driver with farious comp's on the Callaway Trackman (best launch monitor on the markert, about $24k retail) and was very pleased with the results. I will not that the Nike does launch slightly lower with average spin and an average ball speed. There were no characteristics when comparing spin, ball speed, launch, carry distance, or overall distance that jumped of the page. However, all of these characteristics were very solid and it was definitely the most accuracte of all the drivers I hit (all major brands). I am very pleased with this club and after my personal review / feedback this is the best club for me.

I think I have owned every driver on the market. But the Nike Sq. square Machspeed is a keeper for sure. First tee - slight draw to the middle about 250 yds. out. Every drive was exceptionable. I kept it in the neutral position and have not yet experimented with changing the adjustable shaft. This driver is so easy to hit. Swing fast - swing slow - the results are great either way. Even the off center hits are good. The only thing I am not too crazy about is the sound. When the face strikes the ball, you think a gun went off. It will attract some attention. But who cares if the ball goes where you want it to. I would recommend getting a loft just a little lower than you are accustomed to. I normally hit a lower ball flight. With this driver, the trajectory is up to where I have always wanted to be. It has the 10.5 loft.
I presently own the Taylor Made Superfast - but it will soon be on Ebay. You buy the Machspeed and don't look back.

This is not for golfers just starting. But if you are an average to more serious player, this is the driver for you. Nike makes high quality products, and uses innovate technology to help you hit it longer and straighter.

I love this wood. I am able to hit the ball about 230 yrds on average. I am very satisfied with this club. I like the feel of it. I haven't always been a nike fan with golf things.. but quality clubs and products they've been putting out lately have really made me reconsider.
