excellent forged irons
Created: 05/21/09
There is such a difference in feel between the forged and cast Nike cci irons. The forged have a softer feel, and the long irons are the easiest to hit of any forged iron I have tried. The thin top line is somewhat intimidating, but these are more forgiving than a lot of the game improvement irons I have tried. The thinner sole is much easier to get through the rough. Very well balanced and just feel good when you swing them. Between the cast and the forged, I would definitely chose the forged irons.

Nike CCi Forged Irons
Created: 07/05/09
I purchased these irons after hitting some at a couple of golf stores, I put in a bid that I thought I would never win, and here I am. I bought the Nike CCi Forged irons after playing Ping Zing 2's for 15 years. I purchased them because I wanted a club that was somewhat forgiving, but one that didn't make every shot feel good, I wanted my hands to feel it when I hit a shot poorly. I also can also get these clubs to do what I want them to do, and I'm a 15 handicapper.
I would buy these clubs again.

Nike got it right. More value than most irons. Won't hurt your wallet.

I'm a lowish-mid handicapper whose strength is iron play. These irons are hands-down the best irons I've ever hit, behind the X-Forged irons from Callaway. Except the best part is that these were about 1/2 the price of the Callaways. They flight the ball a little bit lower than my last irons (Titleist 690.CB), but really make up for it in the spin department. They have a somewhat thin top-line and sole, but it's nothing too scary for a good ballstriker. The feel is good, but I honestly was expecting a little better. If you hit the ball like you should, you can barely feel the ball, yet if you hit the ball of the toe/heel you will feel the sting all the way up your arms. They are a little shorter than some of the newer irons, but that's only because Nike has a traditional loft setup, with the pitching wedge at 48* (rather than some of the other brands with lofts as low as 44* and 45*; i.e Taylormade, Callaway, etc.), which I for one really like.
They can complement a "picker" and a "digger", but I would think they would complement a picker slightly more. I love how the bounce is lower, so if your a "digger" you won't take out foot-long divots with your 6 iron.
All in all, Nike got this club right when they created them about 2 or 3 years ago, and now with them being much cheaper than they were when they came out, you should seriously consider purchasing them. Your wedges will thank you :-).

Nike CCI Forged Irons Dynamic Gold

The Nike CCI Forged Irons 3-pw that I recently purchased have the most feel of any irons I have ever played. Nike Pro Combos are very similar, but less forgiving. These feel like butter when struck correctly. Would recommend to someone who likes the workability of a blade.
