Review For: New Method, The - Precision Abs (DVD, 2002)
I had high hopes for The New Method DVD, but quickly realized it was far out of my league. Not that I'm a couch potato, but this DVD is for folks who are already pretty physically-fit and wanting to get even more trim and "buff."
One of the things I like so much about the Gazelle machine (Tony Little) - and its workouts - is that no matter what level you're at, you can be involved and increase the workout as confidence builds.
Unfortunately, The New Method - Precision Abs, didn't have this option.
If you are already into working out...
If you are advanced in your abilities...
If you know terminology and process...then this DVD may be good for you. It DOES go through quite a few exercises that I'm sure would help the abdominal muscles. But unless you fit this criteria, the DVD is pretty useless.
There is no instruction on movement; you just move right into it. There's no midway for doing something...it's all or nothing. And there's no encouragement to get from point A to point B.
This is more of a DVD for people who are fit and want to be fitter, or 'beautiful people' who want to watch other 'beautiful people' acting as if they're physically fit.
For me, a struggling middle-age guy looking for some ways to get better fit, a total waste of my money. Probably will go back on eBay as a sale item.

Review For: New Method, The - Precision Abs (DVD, 2002)
It was ok. After I did it I didn't feel that worked out. I think it is a DVD that is more for someone just starting to get in shape. Maybe if I didn't have other workout DVD's that I like better, I might have liked it more. Also, I don't know who the girl on the cover of the DVD is but she is not in the workout....which I thought was odd.
