Movie synopsis
In director Samuel Fuller's pure pulp classic, Kelly, a former prostitute, hoping to escape her brutalizing big-city life by moving to a small town, discovers even more depravity in her new, supposedly sanitized environment. When she discovers a shocking murder scene, the townspeople are quick to make accusations based on her past.

This DVD is a great way to own this Sam Fuller cult classic movie without the expense of buying a Criterion Collection DVD. Although this DVD is full-screen, the original frame of the film is not much larger, so you're not missing much by not having the "letterbox" version. The video and audio are clean and crisp, so it's not a "bargain-basement" bad print of the film that you'll be watching. All things considered, this DVD is a great value for the price.

Entertaining melodrama

This 1964 movie directed by Samuel Fuller is entertaining melodrama. In the opening scene a prostitute beats up her pimp, then she escapes to a small town where she almost succeeds in achieving a respectable lifestyle, but runs smack into more perversity.
