This is a fun game and anyone who owns a PS3 needs to get this game!
Graphics: The ice actually looks REAL! The players and animations look Great!
Gameplay: The gameplay is fun! The new tilt control is used to lay down hits on players and lets you take control in net "Crease Control"
Pros: Graphics, the new motion sensing controls, Camera, Sound and Presentation
Cons: The fighting is simple and boring
Overall: It's Great 9.5/10
This game has great graphics, and is just fun to play. It is generally a fast came, and my personal favorite PS3 game to this date. The bad: penalties are rarely called even when I set the options to call 100% of penalties. When a penalty is called it seems that it is incorrectly called. Also only 1 ref on the rink during a game. This takes away from the realism that the game achieved through it's excellent graphics. I also hate it when I am checked in center ice repeadidly, and there is NEVER a call. This slows down the game. Still, overall I love this game, and if you love hockey you will too. Its the only hockey game for PS3 to this date, so untill this game is topped next year, I say enjoy it.
Rent this before you buy it. While renting it start a season and play a game. If you do this you will find this is the most unrealistic hockey game on the market. I hae played 25 games in my season and there has not been one penality called against an opponet. Between periods is completly missing as there is no highlights or anything else even though the announcers say what is coming. Sorry 2K but you messed this one up and I can not wait till EA gets its act together for NHL 08. I will not buy another 2K Sports game.
The reason I bout this game is mostly because I wanted to play a sport game. Honostly these sports games don't change much other than the graphics... I guess it can be fun if you like hockey...
Almost like every other hockey game except for a new controls the game is the same as usual.The graphics are O.K not what i was expecting,looked almost like a playstation 2 game,and the fighting is horrible,,make sure you rent before you buy !!! glad i did.
