I have been watching The NCIS series for along time.Watching it on DVD is far better than on tv,not only is there more clarity, but you have bonus scenes and explanations from the cast members about certain episodes.I really wanted to know more about the episodes in Kill Ari.Cote De Pablo is awesome as Zeva, but I will always miss Kate. I was in the Navy from 1977-1981 and most of what they are portraying is accurate.Of course back then was allot different than it is now. Some may like Anthony Dinozzo's charm or sense of humor(blah)I do not think he's funny or witty at all.I remember David MaCallum from The Man From UNCLE series.I liked him then and I still do.He brings a dimension to any series that is unequaled.Mark Harmon is very good at portraying his characters and he has taken Gibbs to a whole new level and is brilliant at it.Pauley Perrette well she is ditzy yet witty in her role as Abby.In all honesty, this show would not have lasted as long as it has,if it were not for Pauley.Who else would sit in a lab, testing things and have a Giant Slurpee sittin there? Her Gothic style attracts watchers, one of the reasons her character Abby is the most popular, most watched of this era.Sean Murray is wonderful in his role as agent McGee.I think he is much better and smarter than Dinozzoand his use of Naval terms and awarness of those terms is unequaled on the show.Rocky Carroll's role as Director Vance brought a whole new view of the show.He is so much like a real agent and the way he represents that character is just amazing. My brother who has been in the Marines for the past 25 years now said the only thing missing is the Political side, which does not come across much to him except in one or two episodes. This series is truly one of the best if not the best on tv right now.
What is not to like? We love Mark Harmon and Tony and our teenagers love Abby and her hippo :>. The plot is continually interesting though I think that Season 7 drags a little towards the end-- but that could be due to the marathon watching that we were doing too. The cliff hanger at the end of Season 7 has got us all waiting for Season 8 to come to DVD! If you like crime dramas (and Marines)-we highly recommend NCIS!
I did not start out watching NCIS because there were other shows on TV I watched. One night about 3 months ago, I watched one episode of NCIS and instantly got obsessed about the show! I watched the marathons on USA channel as well as the Tuesday night shows. I decided to buy the episoded and got a really good price for the first 7 seasons and just love them! There is nothing I dislike about it! I will buy season 8 when it comes out. I have never been this obssessed about a show. I have loved shows where I thought about buying the episodes but never have until NCIS!
I became a fan of this show last year while watching a NCIS marathon on a friend's cable tv ( I don't have cable) and didn't realize 5-6 seasons had passed.
I bought the collection to see the show from the start and am enjoying watching each episode at my leisure. Not one bad episode. Great show.
I bought this product because I'm a huge NCIS fan. I love the way the team consider themselves family. They work together to solve crimes against or involving naval officers. I enjoy the forensics involved in solving the crimes and murders. I'm amazed at the way they can track down a criminal from a piece of hair or a carpet fiber or a chip of paint its truely amazing. Theres also some humor in the way the special agent bicker or pick at one another almost like brothers and sisters or if your a parent like ur teenagers lol. Its similair to Criminal Minds but with more personal relations and a little humor.
