I love the story line of this movie, but i think it would have been better without the nude scenes. I decided to buy it because I collect older films, films that were made 20's - the 90's are the best,I can watch them over and over again. My Chauffeur will remain in my DVD collection for years to come. If you decide to get this movie please be careful around children and young adults because there are a few nude scenes in this movie! I watched this movie years ago & remembered it all these years! It's just funny enough -& oddly quirky enough - with its lovable characters and the "English-ness" of it.. {Synopsis: a girl gets a letter from a tycoon who thinks he is her father.. offering her a job.. so she becomes a Chauffeur.. and meets the man of her dreams & then her 'real' father..} Madcap scenes, English bands,
romance,comedy, and the enchanting Deborah Foreman.. That's My Chauffeur!
I love this movie almost as much as I love the fact I was finally able to buy it somewhere. The DVD of this 80s flick is so rare that most of the copies you'll find are here on ebay and they're all listed for obscene amounts of money. I love the movie, but not quite that much. I'm so happy I was finally able to find the movie for a reasonable price. My only complaint is that I wish the movie were widescreen rather than full screen; it didn't say in the product description, but as it was the only copy that was under $75, I said what the heck, I'll risk it. So despite my disappointment in the full screen, I'm still happy I finally have this movie on my shelves.
My wife has wanted this movie for quite a while now .... can't find it at Circuit City or Best Buy .. Gotta go to Ebay. Great old movie, 80's comedy, kind of a chick flic though.
I remember watching My Chauffer in the theaters back when it was first released. Film is just as enjoyable as the first time. This movie alone makes the price of the comedy collection worth it
