This is an excellent book about music. The book is Music 101 itself. The author uses simple language to explain music knowledge in a way that the non musician readers will understand. It is also a good review book for the musicians. It covers a wide spectrum of music. Even though it's been around for more than 10 years, I think that it is still the best one out in the market.
Bought this from a class, great condition. Everything I needed, I use it to study for class and all that. Has plenty of information about musical ages beginning with The middle ages. I'm currently only on the Classical period in class. great buy.
it is a great reference for my music appreciation class! and it is wayy less that what they want in the book store!!
I bought this book for music appreciation. I love this book it builds a foundation of music from history to early instruments through today. I am highlighting it. There is much to learn about music that i did not know. I love it and would buy it again. vern
I loved the product because it was not very expensive like other text books, and CD comes with the listening exercise. The book smelled good. The summary in the book was easy to read.
