Phone was not new but in a new case and new battery and charger. Time does not sync with carrier. Looks like it came from Europe based on programing in the phone. transducers for the ringer and tx/rx audio sound raspy, may have been wet? It fills my need for a replacement Razr but not "NEW". Also, about an hour to find information and to program to be able to send and receive text on ATT. Is a GPRS only phone not EDGE. Bought two phones and they are the same.
best phone ever made . i think that's why Motorola stopped making them. easy to use, great battery life, and easy to carry. rugged design and all the features you need without the gimmicks of the new smart phones. not everyone needs to carry a small computer with them all day not to mention the extra charges for a data package.
Been using this model for better than 8 years. Do not want a smart phone and this is perfect fit for my shirt pocket.
To be clear, this was an UNLOCKED Cingular phone not a pure AT&T phone. Everything about this phone is awkward to do. The menus system forces a convoluted process for most anything you want to do. There is no single button function to switch between ring and vibrate, the phone will not charge from a USB port unless its a computer port with the Motorola drivers installed in the operating system. , if you have a Universal USB charger either A/C or in your car it will not even trickle charge, you MUST use a Motorola Charger just for the Razor V3. I used this on a T-Mobile network the phone does not sync with my T-Mobile on line contacts., so had to enter all my contacts one at a time. If you ave contacts with more than one phone number ( e.g. Mobile, work, home) the address book listing displays the contact name separately for each phone number rather than one name that if selected will display all numbers for you to choose one. I have had a cell phone since 1997 BEFORE digital phones, OF ALL THE MANY PHONES I HAVE OWNED THIS ONE IS BY FAR THE WORST FOR CLARITY OF RECEPTION. It is so bad I would not even recommend this phone to my worst enemy. It's a mystery to me why it had any degree of popularity as the only thing it has going for it is its sleek design. It's construction, all plastic, makes it look and feel cheap.
This phone is a great phone just as a spare. Sometimes you don't want to take your iPhone somewhere, as it might get damaged. Now I have this! It works on AT&T's prepaid network, GoPhone, and can be paid for by a 90 day standard for $25. The only downside, is that it only works on AT&T's EDGE or below network, so if you have 3G+ only in your area (I have a couple here in Utah) it will have very poor/no reception. But if you live in a bigger city, it works great!
