Ever drool over a friends gsm cool high quality state of the cell phone but live in verizons ugly cell phone ghetto? Wish you could have slick compact slider, with out Sony Erikson's hard to push slick tiny keypads, or with vx8550 hard to navigate spastic touch sensitive external key pad? Well look no further my verizon cdma friends finally, Z6tv is the asnwers to your prays .LOL. Ok it a bit of overstatement , but honestly until this phone came out I was seriously think of porting over to ATT, because of the low quality, un innovative, ugly phones verizon had in there line (only sprint is worse off) and the V9m broadsword looks sexy but is HUGE and one of the loosest low rent keypads Ive ever seen and it wierd sub mirco usb forces all new accessory's BOO! lol.
So with no further a due PROS:
EXCELLENT RF reception as good or maybe a little better than legendary e815.
Beautiful main screen clear bright colorful, with the slider close you have easy navigation of all of the phone functions, with real external key pad, and the 10 key pad with the slider opened is small but full function with keys easy to use (not hard to push and slick like Sony Erickson's).
Easy to access mirco sd card, slot is on the top of the not hidden behind battery door or under the battery.
key pad lock switch
easy to use media player for music and video player and if you use windows media player, it will sink up and transfer music to z6tv with just a standard usb cable and no additional software.
Excellent bluetooth reception with headsets (haven't try BT stero head set but it is capable)
2.5mm headphone jack
strong vibrate and able to set vibrate and ring .
good 2.0 megpixel camera and video 320x240 result with length determine buy memory card size.
Loud ring tone volume
Loud speaker phone option
The positives for this phone is list goes on and on ...... Right know it simple the best phone on verizon,
I have been using the Motorola Motorizr Z3 with a 512MB micro SD card for 3 months on the Cingular network. In this review, I am comparing this phone to my previous phone, the Motorola Slvr L7. The Z3 is actually one of the best phones that I have owned so far.
- At first glance, this phone looks like a plain plastic phone, but don't be fooled. The dull exterior sides of the phone is made of a material that makes it easier to grip and hold onto. My old phone, Motorola Slvr L7, used to slip through my hand sometimes.
- You need to manually push the phone up a little before the spring mechanism takes over.
- The keypad is practically in the same format as the L7. Unfortunately, the menu looks outdated, maybe it's the font, which I can't change.
- No problems so far with the quality of incoming and outgoing calls.
- Incoming calls on the speakerphone is a little fuzzy sometimes.
Video & Photos
- Big improvement from the L7. Not just in the megapixels, but the photos do not come out as grainy and there is a flash built into the phone.
- So far I have not found any limit in the size of the video files that the phone will play, depending on available memory. Sound quality of the videos is decent.
- You can see the photos or videos in landscape or portrait view in the phone.
- I use the voice recorder to record class lectures, but it's better to be within 3 feet from the subject, depending on how loud his or her voice is and the surrounding noise.
- Alarm clock. I use this on the loudest volume which is 7 and have not missed an alarm yet.
- I have started using the Delayed Call feature, where a pre-recorded message is played telling the caller that they are connected and I will pick up. It's handy when I get a call on vibrate and need to leave the room to answer it.
- Voice command is easy to use, because it actually recognizes what I'm saying the first time.
- You can set mp3's as your ringtone and it comes with a variety or pre-installed ringtones that aren't really that bad.
- Almost everything in this phone can be customized.
- Battery life is decent, but again, runs out fast when videos, music, or Java is on.
- No iTunes, for me, that is not a big problem.
I am prone to dropping my cell phone, but have not dropped this phone yet. I will definitely update on its status if and when it happens.
Hope this helps!
I like this cellphone so much, i replace my old one with the same one. that's right. the same model & color. easy to use, 4 1/8" inches long, 5 5/8" long open & 1 13/16" wide. a perfect fit for your hand. a nice clear screen. 2 mp camera, up to 8x. works best with 2x & standard setting. the image gets smaller at higher mag. printed images up to 8.5" x 11" images. it has a mp3 player - which i didn't use. a few games, movie maker, blue tooth. a nice clear sharp signal with little to no buzzing. i get 5-6 bars for strength in my local area. speaker works pretty well. other tools calculator, datebook, alarm clock, web access, & world clock. a good selection of ring styles. it has a fine texture that grips to your hand and fingers. on this model you can easily find replacements parts. it is a great value for the money. a second one would be a good investment if you get more than one number in the household. i currently have a 8mg memory card to store images & backup music and data. can be found in 3 different colors - black - blue and a red sometimes refer as rose. set up take about 5 - 10 mins depending on your personal settings. a good choice for persons who don't like the prices of smart phones. i am already thinking about getting another one like it for a backup. kep one in the car for an emergency with the first aide kit.
I recieved the Motorola Z3 unlocked for my T-Mobile account. I am totally loving the phone. It is the best Motorola phone I have used. My only problem was setting up the web browser, but once you get past that everything else is great! The MP3 player is awesome with a great sound and you can add a memory mini SD card up to 2GB which makes this and excellent product for the music lover. The picture quality of the camera is incredible as well. With the 2MP camera and flash you can get very good pictures and the video ability is great to! You can take any song from your music library without cutting it down and make it your ringtone. I am a music lover and have a daughter who I always take pictures of and this phone allows me the freedom to not have to dig out my Digital Camera to get the good shot. I just wip out my Motorola Z3 and snap away. I recommend this phone highly and have decided to change my favorite brand of phone from the Nokia to the Motorola. The ease of finding this phone was there as well. I found many to be selling these factory unlocked and purchased mine through Ebay. This phone created a buzz with all of my friends who are now buying them. I compared it to the LG, Samsung, and Nokia Slider phones and the Z3 seems to be the winner in every category. Its Edge Technology makes texting a faster communication tool than most. There are no dead areas or dropped calls problems because it is a quad-band. I get a full signal everywhere I go. If you are like me and analize everything that you want thoroughly before purchase than you have found the right phone. I hope this helps you with your decision. Well worth the couple hundred dollar price tag!!
I have owned this phone for 12 months.
In terms of features it is about average. It has a dedicated camera/camcorder button which is convenient. It also has access to verizon's new live tv service which is nice to use if you live in an area that offers it. The camera is above slightly average quality, the pictures that it takes are not amazing but but definitely not poor.
Excellent. I have never had problems with dropped calls and the sound is fabulous. Speakerphone is loud and picks up my voice even from across the room.
Poor. I love the slide form factor of this phone, and luckily it is still as zippy and functional as when I first bought it. Aside from this, I am very unhappy with motorola's cheap design of this otherwise great phone. I am a heavy texter and 8 months into my first handset the center and ring buttons were on the verge of falling off (the result of using glue to bind the keys instead of a more sturdy mechanical construction). In addition the number pad keys had chipped and were barely visible. I am now four months into my second model. It is so far holding up well, but the ring button is beginning to come loose and I am worried about having to replace it again.
In terms of calling and features this phone is a good choice. However if you are anything more than a very light phone user I would not recommend this phone because of its poor build quality. In retrospect I wish I had gone with something that was sturdier, like the LG env2.
