"The Motorola Debut has a slim slider design, plus it comes with push-to-talk, GPS, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and a good music player. It also has very good call quality."
The Motorola Debut suffers from poor keypad design and a low-resolution display.
"If you can live with a few design quirks, the Motorola Debut is a decent, basic, multimedia phone for Boost Mobile."

The design it's a very sexy phone boost hit a home run with this one. The speaker is another amazing feature speaker phone on this thing is amazing really clear and loud. Mp3 is also great via the speaker really impressive. Another thing I liked was the key lighting, which lights up real bright but the kicker is when you turn on the mp3 player and the center button glows red with a play, rev and fwd button which were previously invisible! The slide up mechanism is also very impressive sturdy and firm.
Buttons feel rather stiff induce fatigue if you are constantly pounding the buttons. Center button feels small I have small hands and I find myself mispressing (not sure if this is an actual word) buttons. The battery life on this thing is also questionable it takes my sonyericsson about 2 days of heavy usage to get down into the red, but with this one only a day of moderate use and gets to the red. My other qualms are with the boost mobile service. I switched from t-mobile where they really don't have restrictions on web browsing. With boost you can't download content like ringtones, themes, apps and games you have to buy them from boost. The GPS service is also twisted b/c you have to pay a monthly fee and like I said before, you can't download 3rd party apps like google maps on there.
Great phone not so great network but hey you can't beat unlimited everything for 50$
This is a wonderful phone. I am still learning all of the phone's features and how to operate them. So far, I like this phone. Screen is easy to read. Settings easy to configure and change. Key pad is sensitive to touch which makes texting and dialing easy. Excellent volume and clarity. Battery holds charge a good time length. Love the MP3 player! Camera and video very good and easy to operate.
So far the only thing I an not thrilled about is the inability to create and save my own quick notes to the existing list and the alarm clock is ok but, lacks ability to set multiple alarms for multiple days. This was an excellent buy for me. Very pleased with phone overall.
I bought the phone with a few specific goals in mind:
1. Cheap prepaid wireless voice and data. Boost Mobile offers these services (10 cents per minute voice, 35 cents per day for unlimited wireless web).
2. I wanted to receive Facebook updates and Google Maps transit directions. The Opera Mini browser (version 3.2) works well with both of these sites. The mgmaps app gives me basic navigation (local search, driving directions, etc.). All of these apps are free, but somewhat difficult to install. I had to download developer utilities from Motorola to install the apps since Boost Mobile wants you to use their app store.
The phone screen is pretty small and it is a little slow running the apps.
The GPS works very well. Sound quality was average.
It's a great cheap phone if you want to play around with wireless apps.
I love the phone. Its new.I decided to buy it due to the sellers high rating
100%.Other buyers left good feedback response.I wanted a new phone because I already have a used phone that is wearing out.
I like the slider i856 features. It has a nice visual quality & features I desire in the type of business use I put it thru.It weighs less than the i870
I have now.I like the updated look of it.I use the 2 way feature a lot.
I am sure I will enjoy it.Its a great fit for me.
ITS A GREAT PHONE AT FIRST BUT THEN TO MONTHS INTO IT...THE SCREEN TURNS WHITE ALL THE TIME...SO I NEVER KNOW WHO IS CALLING...THE INTERNET IS REALLY SLOW BUT WORKS...
BUT YET I DO RECOMMEND YOU TO GET THE BOOST MOBILE i9 STRATUS...ITS A GREAT PHONE...NICE AND SLIM AS WELL AS LIGHT IN WEIGHT...INTERNT MIGHT BE A BIT SLOW BUT IT SENDS PIC. AND TEXT. MESSAGES A LOT FASTER...PS IN OTHER WORDS ITS A GREAT PHONE...SO JUS LOOK ON IT...
