Reviews & Research

CNET Editors' reviewGood

The Motorola V750 has a well-crafted design with easy-to-use controls. Its features set includes push-to-talk capability and support for Verizon Wireless' EV-DO Rev. A network. Call and music quality were excellent.

The Motorola V750's speakerphone and push-to-talk call quality could be improved. Also, photo and streaming video quality were average.

Though its performance didn't hit the highest marks, the Motorola V750 offers a great design and a functional feature set.

Verizon CDMA Motorola v750

The phone is ruggedized, meant to withstand some paint, water, drops, etc but has a nice sleek design that is unlike any other "tough" phone. It does have a nice outside LCD screen that can get cracked if you drop it right but the raised rubber buttons with multimedia keys on the outside are great. You can customize the phone quiet a bit but it is mainly a music phone since it has a dedicated music button on the side and media keys on the front. Good speakers but call quality and/or mic for calls could be better but nothing to complain about. Great phone, no regrets and excellent since it does not require a data plan.

Best phone I've ever owned!

This phone is the best phone I've ever owned! Battery life is excellent! Lasts 3-4 days at times. Functions for basic phone with text, picture and video messaging superbly! Camera is not too bad either! It is very durable, nice display and does everything well without all the battery hogging frills!

Motorola V750 review misinformation

First off if you are an iphone or droid (smart phone) person then this review is not for you. If you are like the majority of the people I meet and simply want a phone to take and make calls, occasionally text, have bluetooth ability, and be totaly reliable not to mention a great battery life then take a second look at the V750. I have had all RAZR versions and I do like these phones but the screen is small and the buttons on the RAZR ar not finger friendly. The V750 has better feel on the pad and even though there are tons of complaints of the battery cover being cheep... It has never fallen off, broke, or scratched up like all the other phones I have owned. The push to talk feature I never activated because it is not compatable with the nextel network and everyone who I know that has push to talk is a nextel customer. The nextel push to talk may be great but their phone service is poor so Verizion is the better choice for my use. Verizon and nextel should make an alliance and they both would make money??? As far as being a military spec phone??? the jury is out on that one, even though I am the Judge.

Good, tough phone

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I bought this phone to replace one exactly identical that broke after about six years use (mini USB socket lost connection with phone). I did not like any of the dumb phones Verizon currently sells. This one is tough, dust and moisture resistant, has excellent battery life and reception. It has voice command dialing, push-to-talk, and it takes a microSD card for music and backup. Good phone. The only poor feature is the mini USB socket cover won't get completely out of the way and you have to force the plug into the phone.

A real phone for the person that wants just a phone.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I have had this phone in the past and loved it. It unfolds into a full size phone. This phone is for the person that just wants a good PHONE. Plays MP3s well. IF you have it in your pocket, you may start the player without knowing. No big deal.
This phone supports a 8 gig memory card that hold a lot of music.
It has a 2 meg camera that does a good job for quick notes. Pictures say a thousand words.
