THERE'S NOTHING I DISLIKE ABOUT THIS GAME - TRYING TO BUY THE CLASSIC ONE TO SEE IF I'LL ENJOY IT AS MUCH. NEVER DID LIKE PLAYING MONOPOLY BUT THIS GAME HAS TOTALLY CHANGED MY MIND. STOPPED PLAYING OTHER FAVORITE PC GAMES AND HAVE EVEN DELETED SOME FROM MY SHOCKWAVE AND BIG FISH WHICH I BELONG TO AS A MEMBER AND PAY A MONTHLY FEE. WHY? THIS GAME IS FAR MORE INTRIGUING THAN ANY THEY HAVE TO OFFER. PLAY IT, YOU WILL SEE I'M BEING TRUTHFUL WITH YOU AND YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID! GLAD I HAD THE SENSE TO PURCHASE IT. THINK I GOT IT FROM BARGAINS BUYER'S OFF EBAY AND WHAT A GREAT PRICES THEY HAVE!!!! IF YOU VISIT THEIR SITE, JUST TELL THEM TOYEZ777 SENT YOU.
The greatest feature about this game is you don't have to waste time counting out money, the computer does it for you which saves time and labor. I have to admit I prefer the tactile feel and experience of rolling the dice which is absent here. You pretty much have to accept the computer's roll though you may feel you could have done a better job at rolling better numbers. I tried an online version of the same game and decide to make a buy because the online game was fraught with constant commercial interruptions. The difference with this board from the online version is that it is viewed top down vs 3/4 view for the online version (which was more comfortable and realistic) but that is a small gripe and should not deter you from trying this game. I purchased this for less than $8 so it was also a great value. It comes with a disc and jeweled case (no manual). Accessing the help button at the beginning serves as the manual and divides the rules into two tabbed sections: official game rules and house rules. Its an easy game to play with. I highly recommend this game.
I received an email from eBay asking me to write a review about the Monopoly Computer Game I had purchased.
I love it!
It is a great way to pass time when played alone against the computer, or it can be played with friends, passing the mouse back and forth.
Some of the sound effects can be a little annoying, like the Police car when you are sent to jail, but you can make that noise go away by clicking the mouse.
Some games can be quite interesting and exciting, when you and the computer have a nearly equal number of properties.
I need to play the game at its highest level, or the computer makes what I perceive as stupid mistakes, taking away any sense of accomplishment, when played at the highest level the game can be ruthless.
I enjoy playing the game while multitasking, and listening to the Old Time Radio website.
It keeps me completely occupied, listening to 1940’s radio shows like the “Shadow” while playing the game.
Monopoly can be a lot of fun, I do not regret my purchase, and my only real complaint is that it does not keep high scores.
I find the animation very slow and I cannot find a way to turn it off.
I also read someone elses comment here about how they think the odds are against the human player... Now that I have got it and am using it – I cannot help wondering the same thing... Still not sure though....
Otherwise nice enough and satisfies my childhood memories of family drama around the Monopoly board.
Monopoly here & now. I like the way the properties have been updated. I don't really like that the money amounts have increased. They have just added a bunch of zeros to increase the amounts which makes it kind of more difficult than the original game, but I really like this game.
It has great graphics, sound effects, and you can pick the level of difficulty of your computer player. You can also customize the rules if you want. I play this game quite often. It is vey fun to play.
