I have wanted this movie for a long time and got tired of waiting for Turner Classic Movies to play it. All they ever play is the other "Monkey Business" movie with the Marx brothers, which is idiotic. The minute I received it I put it in the DVD player and experienced the magic once more. I don't know why they call it a Marilyn Monroe movie, it's a Cary Grant/Ginger Rogers movie. I fell in love with Ginger all over again! Her acting ability is just breathtaking; she can be a mature lady one minute, and the next a totally convincing 10-year-old! Cary Grant's performance is awesome too, which, combined with Ginger's, makes this one of the best comedy movies of all time. (MM has a minor role which any pretty woman could have played.) I love this movie so much I could play it every six months and NEVER get tired of it. THANKS!!!!!
We are old movie buffs. We are always looking for moral friendly material. This movie was watched by a variety of age groups and each one enjoyed it. Everyone was laughing and found the movie to be a hit! You can't go wrong with this flick!!!!!!
I would rate Clash By Night as the best of her 1950-52 movies. Gentleman Prefer Blondes, How to Marry a Millionaire,
and Bus Stop are the best movies she ever did. Some Like It Hot was entertaining but MM was just beyond her prime. She is at her most beautiful in Prince and the Showgirl although the story itself lacks enough snap.
