Clever and enjoyable little movie about a police chief Quinn (Denzel Washington), on a small Caribbean Island. This is one of those "off-shore haven" types of places where everybody goes to misbehave and get away with it. Quinn is the law, and his childhood friend Mabry, is accused of murder and robbery and is at large. Its just too simple though. Too many people are involved, and too many people want everything sewn up too fast. This movie revolves all around witches, and voodoo and a briefcase full of $10,000 bills. The wealthy man who was killed as it turns out, was some sort of an intermediary between the CIA and some South American government or rebel army, with money being illegally funneled to where it shouldn't be going. This was a relatively enjoyable film, but more for the island style music and scenery, than for the script.

This is a classic movie

It was one of those films that I remembered and was part of my growing up so I had to have it. I realize that the movie was made 20 years or so ago, but it was funny to see how bad movies were. Its still a good movie and fun to see Denzel back in his prime.

This is a great movie. I enjoy watching Denzel Washington, think he's a great actor. The movie takes place in a beautiful location & is full of happy & fun music. Would highly recommend this movie to anyone.
