The only one I use

I breed Dachshunds and Belgian Tervurens. Belgians have very sensitive skin. Frontline Plus takes care of the flea and ticks. My dogs and I travel to shows and my Belgians do SAR. We run through a lot of flea and tick territory, and you never know if the dog in the ring next to you has been treated to prevent fleas. With Frontline Plus I don't worry. I never apply it in one place, a little between the shoulders, a little at the base of the tail, and the rest down the back. No sores, no discoloration. It has an oil base, so sometimes I do have an oily spot. At least everyone knows my dogs are protected. On e bay it doesn't cost me as much as at pet stores. I know what my cheapest price is, and I search e bay for some cheaper.

frontline Plus for dogs 23-44 lbs. 3 months
Created: 05/10/09
I use Frontline Plus on my dog to keep her flea free and tick free. We live in a area that has a lot of deer ticks with frontline plus it keeps the ticks away. Frontline is easy to use once a month you apply it, if by chance our pet gets wet thats fine because the frontline keeps working. I use frontline plus year round on our pets. The only thing I don't like is the packaging. It is very hard to tear open the package to get the tube of frontline out. But after you get the tube out then it is easy to use. I would recommend frontline plus to anyone who has pets.

This product most effective

I have found Frontline itself is more effective against fleas. But not as toxic to my dog herself. I have used Frontline for several years, I have also used other products, but I always come back to Frontline.
The only thing is that I have to use it every 3 weeks insted of 4 weeks. But, that is a small price to keep my dogs moderately comfortable during the summer months.

Stop the scratching

Good product if you cant deal with the scratching anymore. I am talking about your dog... of course.
I don't like putting too many chemicals on my dog but comes a point were the fleas are too much nuisance.
I think I tried all the products out there. From the cheap walmart stuff that kills for a couple days to the diatomaceous earth that is not chemical but mechanical (fleas get mini cuts and die) unfortunately it creates a dust that is hard to not breathe and you need reapply often, plus my black dog looked like he went playing in flour.
This brings us back to the specialized products: Advantage, frontline, K9
They all are good and I tried to switch to the dog doesn't always get the same chemicals. I also tried to minimize application by not treating when not necessary, you just need to cut the flea cycle quickly to avoid infestation (that means a LOT of fleas and chemicals every where to stop that)
Every dog reacts differently to chemicals. Mine finds it itching a bit but this seems to be better with age.
Take care of your pets, the'll take care of you.

Easy to use and effective product.

Our home backs up to the woods. our cocker/cavalier king charles spaniel loves the outdoors and is a tick magnet. we are outdoors quite often gardening the beds towards the wooded area and he inevitably gets quite a few ticks on him early in the season (they even end up carried into the house and found in our bedding!). Since we rubbed the Frontline liquid on his coat as directed - we have not seen ONE. Works effectively and we're very pleased and so is our lovable pet. Highlights would be the ease of application, no offensive scent and it's EFFECTIVE immediately! Our pooch doesn't even know he has these super powers on his back! Highly recommend the product.
