This is a great movie for all ages. This comedy-adventure movie is great for a family night get together. The cast is awesome bringing laughter and a smile to your face. The humor is great.
Story line: A laid-back retired Naval Lietenant Commander McHale, who is living on a Carribean island, returns to uniform when an old enemy surfaces threatening his beloved Carribean island base. Putting together a group of misfits to out maneuver his enemy(a terrist), McHale brings great comedy to life, while whipping he's crew into shape.
I bought this DVD as an upgrade to replace the VHS version that I have. I like the movie because it reminded me of the television series that I enjoyed as a
kid.
Light hearted and mostly funny. Tom Arnold is a good McHale and it's nice to see the original McHale in there too. The kids liked it.
This movie has an incredible array of known as well as not-so-well known actors/comedians. They seem to mesh perfectly into a well oiled comedy machine! Tom Arnold is perfect in the role of McHale. He actually makes the oddball character believeable.
Decent comedy with topical humor and a funny cast. Worth watching and having a good laugh on some of the wisecracks and side gags. At times the cast seems out of step with each other which makes comedy hard and rough to watch at times.
