Based off the children's storybook, "Matilda" is a story about a girl who's adopted into a careless family and the storyline elevates throughout her life as a child which includes many funny, crazy, and exciting moments. This is definitely a must see for all families who'd like to microwave a hot bag of popcorn, sit back, and relax on a Friday night whilst watching a great movie. And that great movie, my friends, shall certainly be "Matilda". If you're looking for a wonderful comedy "Matilda" should be the one you're looking for. I assure you you and your family will be satisfied with this film!
The movie is great! It is about a little girl whose parents neglect her and she learns on her own how to take care of herself. Her parents don't understand her and so they think she is bad. She has a hunger for knowledge and learning and thus makes friends with her school teacher. I decided to buy it because I like it as much as my children do...great for the entire family on movie night!
Matilda is one resourceful little girl with very interesting powers. Her family is selfish, selfabsorbed, while ignoring her. I like the movie because she finds a better life in books, friends, and learning. She uses her special gifts to right the wrongs wrought by dishonest and callous adults. Funny, fast paced, and touching.
I bought this movie because my grandson asked for it but, after watching it with him, I found that I enjoyed it as much as he did. It has a very sweet heroine in Matilda and villains galore including, but not limited to, Danny Devito and Rhea Perlman. This is a good movie to teach children acceptance of their differences.
I really love it for it is something that kids never think of doing by themselves when they are young. It makes alot of people think on what they want out of life. Thank you. Shirley Matheson
