Product description

Product Information
Martin HD-28 DreadnoughtThe HD-28, introduced in 1976, represents the re-creation of Martin's legendary herringbone" D- 28 style guitars built from roughly 1933 to 1946. Solid, book-matched East Indian rosewood is used for the back and sides. The top is clear, vertical-grained Sitka spruce. In fact, many players consider the HD-28 to be the best sounding of all Martin guitars. With its adjustable, low-profile neck it is also one of the most comfortable and easy playing guitars, as well. While collectors will forever pursue the legendary (and highly elusive) pre-war "bone," today's HD-28 is a worthy successor - and readily accessible. Everyone from Eric Clapton to Sting to Johnny Lang has played a Martin guitar, and professionals and amateurs alike know the bright sparkle and deep, resonant tone that Martin guitars have become famous for, from the most high end acoustics to the Backpacker."

After trying a few lower end Martins, I finally got one of these great guitars. You can spend more but you won't find a better sounding guitar. You'll just be paying for the nicer cosmetics and exotic woods.

I have been playing for 40+ years. I own Gibson, Taylors, etc. This is the BEST guitar I have ever owned. The notes ring long after the strings are strummed or picked. The mid-range and bass on this guitar are incredible! It has brought back the whole bluegrass/New grass genre to my playing. It is now my #1 instrument.

I absolutely love this guitar. Great sound. Low action on the 12th fret. It is a beautiful accoustic guitar.

great. The overtone is wonderful. The bass sounds, too.
Looks are also the highest. A wonderful sound is played because of the bracing. Standing up of the sound is also good.
