Wow, this amp is a bad beast. The MTX 2300x is a 9.5 out of 10. MTX's older amps power wattage is very under rated. I've ran older amps like Rockford Fosgate, Orion, and Kicker, but older MTX amps are my top pick. I now own two 2300x amps, four 2150x amps, a 225HO, a 250x, and finally the MTX 2160 amp. All these amps are professionally grade made.
My main reason for buying these amp was both collection and also daily usage. My likes are clean power, quality, underrated power, and durability. My dislikes is only that this style amp was discontinued back in like '99. I'd definitely buy more of these amps. In fact, I am searching daily via eBay for the MTX 275x, 4300x, MTX 4200x, and MTX 5400.
I have been dealing with car audio for many years on a personal level and a competition level also. The older mtx amps like the 2160 and the 2300 are awesome under powered amps that deliver a clean tight bass hit and are very under rated. I have personally ran many of the best amps like Zapco,Mcintosh older Fosgate and so on. These amps were fairly affordable and were amazing. You wont be disappointed with any of the old thunder amps,280,2160,2300,5400.
