| Sound quality, performance, and superior driver technology are a few of the reasons that Delta audio cards have established worldwide recognition as a top choice in PCI-based digital audio solutions. With superb engineering and ultra-high quality conversion, the fidelity of the Delta 1010-LT outperforms cards that cost many times more. The 1010-LT offers the professional performance required by today's most popular software programs, and provides you with features like 24-bit 96 kHz recording, zero latency monitoring and digital mixing. The Delta 1010-LT offers all of the interface features you need to record music on your computer, including: eight analog inputs and outputs, including 2 XLR microphone inputs with pre amps, S/PDIF in/out, MIDI in/out, and wordclock in/out. Audio from a variety of sources can be connected to the 1010-LT inputs, and the comprehensive Delta Control Panel software can set and even fine-tune the input line level. Inputs 1 and 2 on XLR jacks can be set to receive a balanced line or a mic level signal, eliminating the need for an outboard mic preamp. The S/PDIF input will interface with gear from pro DAT players to CD, DVD or Minidisc, and offers control over the SCMS copy protection protocol. The Delta 1010-LT outputs can be connected to an external mixer or sound system, while the S/PDIF outs feed your digital mixdown deck. The Delta Control Panel Software also controls a hardware mixer embedded in the PCI card, giving still more routing and mixing control. Use the MIDI I/O for your MIDI controllers and sound modules, and finally, connect to wordclock capable devices for rock-solid sample clock synchronization. The 1010-LT is part of the Delta series of PCI audio cards, and benefits from years of development and research. No other audio interfaces on the market compete with the sound quality and driver compatibility of the Delta series. Install it in your Mac or PC computer today and begin exploring the world of professional digital audio. | |

I like the fact that it runs on Win98SE, WinXP home, and Ubuntu Linux. Also, it's got ASIO and WDM. The input level can be jumper-set on the hardware for consumer, semi-pro, or pro. The hardware patchbay is a great tool. Latency is as close to zero as you can get so that multi-tracking works properly and you don't need a time track. You've got several choices for clock. XLR Mic (or line) inputs on I1/I2, so you can bypass your mixing board, but if you're recording drums with mics (5 or 7 mics for drums) you need your mixing board, then you can sub them out to the line-ins (I3-I8), and with two other mics directly in to I1 and I2, you've got 8 mics for drums. It can do at least 96kbs (can't remember if it does 192kbs, but 192 would take a lot of storage and you'd need a pretty fast system. It does not have a headphone jack, so you'll need to monitor through the outputs sent to a mixer or send your output to your original sound card. A lot of software can use this card -- including old software like Soundforge 6 and Cool Edit Pro 2.1. I like it.
I hated that I had to trash all my Windows Media Center Edition suff and replace it with another OS. I love the fact thatthat operating system is XP PRO!!!!!
WMCE (windows media cener edition) was a was of space in my usage situation. And XP Pro is ultimately so easy to work on the bits and pieces and will let ME choose the sound card or chip I want to use.
I have a Gateway GM5091E (pentium D dual core 64 bit 2.8 Ghz processor with 4 Gigs Ram. I also use a Line6 Toneport UX8 and Toneport GX. along with Sonar 6XL home producer (about to upgrade to 8.5 producer. along with all the line6 VST and Sonar plugins. also a Roland GR-33 guitar synth and an MC-09 analog synth.
I reccomend this product Highly and sugest getting it with the delta 1010 interface.
Thanks

I bought because i was looking for a firewire/usb recording. The exact product i need its to a low budget studio, i mean not a room itself, but about equipment. As i live in Brazil and equipment is very expensive here, i must think about an equipment thats i could buy. So as i can´t buy or find a good solution of a firewire/usb mixer thats have compress, buses and mic preamps for 16 channels with good price. I resolved to buy 2 Delta 1010LT and an analogic mixer with 8 direct outs + 8 subgroups. This mixer has 12 mic preamps thats i could record 4 guys rock band in live mode include drums here. The things i most like in this card its about AD converters, MIDI IN/OUT and SPDIF, with spdif i can link how many card i want and put the yamaha keyboard in midi port using any VST i like. The only disadvantage about this card its related about mobility, sometimes i would like to record guitars and vocals at same time, this require at minimum 5 channels ( 2 guitars + 3 vocals), this is only possible if i´m on studio, but sometimes we are on parties and nothing beat a mixer with firewire/usb connected in a notebook or even multitrack in a pen drive, its very easy to record any band in any place with a usb mixer! Finishing my point of view, i recomend this card because it has a low price, good sound, good recording, low noise, midi in/outs, spdif etc. But for a fixed studio, not mobility! For mobility, i recomend a good firewire/usb mixer.
This sound card allows the digital DJ to have up to FOUR stereo outputs on the PC they are using on the road! this works VERY well with most mixing software packages such as Virtual DJ!
This card also has THREE stereo inputs as well as two mic inputs, as a result the recording capabilities are only limited to the software you are using. For instance, when using Adobe's Audition program, you can use each individual input as a separate channel on the recording end!
Basically AWESOME!!!
This little card can do wonders! After tweaking with the setting, I managed to get super-low latency using an old 1990 midi keyboard i had around. Any type of midi keyboard can be hooked up to this thing and used to trigger sounds on the computer. Using your PC as the nervous center of your music production open a huge array of possibilities. I give this card an A+
