Size and weight of this item are perfect. Easy to use, best buy for your dollar. I bought it for climbing and hiking. Shows elevation, charts, graphs, roads, towns, and every other beel and whistle you could want. Tested this GPS out on a mountain in remote Maine (Tumbledown), worked perfect, always knew exactly where I was, even in bad weather. User friendly, easy to program with just what you want. I am glad I bought this less expensive model vs. a Garmin. Less of a bidding war when it closes, but still provides everything the expensive ones do.
Unit is small and easy to carry. The screen is too small and hard to head if you travel with it.Directions are hard to understand and it took a long time to figure it out.Not entirely user friendly.Batteries last a long time and for the most part well worth the price for a small handheld.Good for hikers or boaters, just too small for the car.
I do alot of mining and prospecting for gold. I have 2 GPS units that work great but are on the heavy side. I did some research and decided that the iFINDER GO2 would work the best for what I wanted. It has not let me down. Its light weight, very easy to use and with the computer cable I'm able to download into my TOPO maps and build a path or trail as to how the placer gold is running.
The Lowrance ifinder g02 receiver is very accurate. It is spot on with a little bounce but accurate. The receiver did come with a broken part where battery is, although it was an easy fix. It is a good item to get for directions. It is the best size, not too big but not too small.
For the price it works very well and has nice features that other entry level units don't have. The map is better than I expected although not the main reason I chose this one. It shows rivers and lakes which is nice, even the small lake near my home. Found my position in about 1 minute and very good reception even in the car. This is my first GPS and am very happy with it.
