I have the LMS520C Sonar & GPS receiver, I am very very please with it. It links up with the satellites very quickly in all kinds of weather conditions hot cold cloudy rainy windy it doesn't matter. It quickly updates when your at slow speeds to keep you on track especially in very dense fog. Easy to install, just make sure you read the install information about the receiver puck. I have the Navionics chip in mine and wow it shows so much stuff. The sonar is accurate and shows a lot of detail my other unit just doesn't see. Easy to operate and work the different screens, you can pick and choose what info is displayed on any given page. Time depth speed so you can have the full screen map up and still have your depth in digital on there. To find something on Google Earth plug in the GPS coordinates into this unit and drive right to it is just priceless.
The only negative thing I can think of is late in the day if the accessory/cranking battery gets tasked the unit will shut off because of low voltage and it has a tendency to lose part of your track if not all the track. So late in the day I will shut the unit off crank up the big motor and turn the unit back on so I don't lose my track.
This products family LMS 52X is a great unit. It can be a bit complicated for the novice user when you get into the networking side of it. I do wish it came with a more detailed chart package but the upgrade is easy to do for 180-225. I was very impressed with the NMEA 2000 compliment of add on's and Tech support very helpful and knowlegeble
