VERY ENTERTAINING

I had not seen this movie prior to purchasing it through ebay but my daughter had seen it and told me that it was very good and she thought I would like it. She was right! The two lead characters were very funny to watch and I thought the whole plot of the movie was very creative. Her goal is to meet a guy, get him interested and then do everything possible to run him off in 10 days. His goal is to meet a girl, get her interested and then do everything possible to make her fall in love with him in 10 days. It was fun to watch and see what crazy idea Kate Hudson would come up with next in her attempts to get rid of him and yet you get small glimpses of how they are truly beginning to fall for each other. The only caution I would give is that there are a few scenes that involve sexual innuendo (but no skin) and one scene (at the parents house) which contains a good bit of rough language that may be offensive to those who are sensitive to it. Other than that, the movie is completely clean for viewing by any audience. I will definitely watch this one multiple times. Very glad that I bought it.

To help land a big ad account, notorious player Ben makes a wager with his co-workers that he can get a woman to fall in love with him in just 10 days. But he bets on the wrong girl -- a women's magazine writer with her own hidden agenda. Turns out she's writing an article on how to get rid of a guy in 10 days -- and she's set on seeing her story through to completion. A very funny romantic comedy!

Cute couple!

Like most romantic comedies, you know how it will end. But getting there is half the fun. Kate Hudson is hilarious as she pulls out all the cliches in an effort to get Matthew McConaughey to dump her. She's clingy, she phones him constantly, she talks baby talk to him, she even gives his penis an embarrassing nickname. But nothing scares him away --- because not only is his job riding on a bet that he can make Hudson fall in love with him, he's starting to fall for her himself. We've seen this plot before (does ANYBODY in real life ever make a bet that they can get a date with a particular person? Because it sure seems to be the way EVERY couple in EVERY romantic comedy gets together!) Still, the acting in this one is above average; Matthew is really hot; and he and Kate make a very cute couple!

This movie is perfect for a rainy day! What better excuse would you need to cosy up on those cold, wet days than to stay in doors and enjoy a funny, light-hearted romantic comedy.

Matthew Mcconaughey is superb in this movie. He's dreamy and makes every lady fall in love with him. Kate Hudson is beautiful as always and together, this duo makes the perfect couple for a romantic comedy.

If you have not seen this movie yet, I suggest you get a move on! You won't be disappointed.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003, DVD)

This is definetly one chick flick. You have to appreciate it if you're a girl in the working world. Matthew McConaughey is a charming witty, HOT ad campaign creative. Kate Hudson is a typical, A-type chick magazine editor. She and Matthew fall in love in this whitty romantic comedy. I hate cheesy movies but this one really makes you laugh. You almost find yourself rooting for them. You want them to fall in love so bad you forget its just a movie. Perfect for a girls night at home with popcorn. And definetly a keeper if you collect these chick flicks. If you liked Sweet Home Alabama you'll love this.
