Movie synopsis
John Mackenzie's rabidly engaging, complex gangster film concerns the demise of a dominant English racketeer, Harold (Bob Hoskins), who is about to change his image and go straight. While negotiating a deal with an American organized crime organization to develop the barren Docklands section of London, his associates begin to turn up dead, and the tough Cockney businessman realizes that getting out will be more difficult than he had anticipated. This extremely tight British thriller made Hoskins a star.

a great london movie

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

harold shand is a tough east end gangster who rose to the top by killing recruiting or frightening his rivals away. now he would like to become a legitimate businessman and help build a new london. but he fails and loses everything. bob hoskings plays harold like a bulldog in a suit. he's brilliantly versatile actor, and for me this is his finest performance.

Movie Soundtrack

This movie has a crazy electronic soundtrack that sounds cheesy and profound at the same time. You'll be sure to enjoy this one.
