) Overall, very pleased - I own several Leupold, Nikon, and Burris scopes and the Leupold are the best in my opinion. This particular scope has the older style adjustments that require a coin or screwdriver. When purchasing you can discern the exact age of the scope by whether it has the newer style knobs which I believe Leupold began around 2004. This will help determine the age of the scope you are buying! Otherwise, the optics are excellent, perhaps a shade below my VX-III's but perfect for the .22LR for which I purchased this. I sent this to Leupold and they reset the parallax to 60 yards for a rimfire rifle for $14.99. Their customer service is excellent - you can't go wrong with a Leupold.

) First, Leupold is a beautiful scope to use. The VX-II has a few shortfalls in design but the gang at Leupold can make it "ALL" better. The -II does not come with a threaded objective bell for the alumina intensifiers or other threaded goodies & the turrets are adjustable with the 'coin slot' mentality....BUT that all gets changed when you send your older scope into Leupold Custom Shop @ Leupold Headquartrers in Beaverton , Oregon. These guys make magic happen. New CDS turret&caps tuned to your bullet weight,FPS,Etc..can make your day aglow! Call the Custom Shop @ Leupold for a talk with their talented technicians...you will not be sorry...guaranteed !!

) It is hard to beat the quality of a Leupold scope. The VX-II mounted with ease and was simple to zero in. Shot a dime shot group at 100 yards with my Remington 700. Would recommend a Leupold to any hunter or shooter. Will last you a life time.
Superior optics

I have been using Leupold Optics for more than 30 years and have always found their optics to be of superior quality. I hunt big and small game throughout the US and Canada in all weather conditions without failure to the optics. With more than 80 mounts to my collection I feel that you cannot buy a better scope for the money.
