The Technic Tow Truck is a challenging set and a great choice for serious model builders. The rear telescopic towing mechanism of the truck in this Technic series Lego set lifts by pumping the pneumatic cylinder. Turn the wheels of the truck in this Lego 8285 set, and you can see the life-like and realistic V6 engine pistons move. The stabilizers can be lowered when heavy weights and loads need to towed, thereby making this Technic series Lego set all the more interesting. When you open the hood of this Lego 8285 set, you will see intricate engine and spinning radiator fans. The Technic Tow Truck is a tow truck complete with a rack and pinion front wheel steering, an operating crane, winch and lift just like a real one.

Great fun , no disappointments , I'm a very happy Lego builder !

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

The Lego Technic Tow Truck was a great kit to buy and build. The directions were very helpful and easy to follow and made it fun to complete. With the kit being almost 1000 pieces (953 if I remember correctly) it wasn't done in 15 minutes. It took a while to finish and for that alone I felt like I got my money's worth out of it. To complete the model gave me a sense of accomplishment and not that feeling of "that's it ?" Also being a Technic set my skills were tested a bit. The truck builds from the ground up and you see how the gearbox and other parts of the truck come together. On a 1-10 scale I give it a 10 ! Very fun to build and operate when done. You have to hand it to the design team that comes up with these kits for putting together a kit that looks and works like a real tow truck. I can say this having close to 10 years in the towing industry. Bottom line , Lego has always made great models weather your into the Technic style sets , City sets or any other style of Lego's you choose to build , rest asure you are buying a good quality kit if it has the Lego brand name on the box ! I'll be looking for another kit to build very soon to further test my skills.

This product was purchased for my son, he is a Lego fanatic. We didn't get it when it first came out, he was battling cancer at the time, and money was tight. He has wanted this for a long, long, time. The challenge and the detail of the project makes this a great kit to have. Lego has no equal, they seem to come up with great ideas for kits.

This is a well built and design toy. the kid are force to use they logical mind to create the model as display. it fun but serious thing. and fortunately sell by a good seller with affordable price.

All was ok some pieces as pin where dammaged but no matter I had some as spare.
Very interesting assembly.
I collect old Lego's for my own pleasure
