If you played the first 2 games then you know what to expect.
The game is a throw back to old school RPGs, with beautiful 3D background and cute little sprites for characters. Speaking of characters, there are A LOT of them. Even some characters from the previous games return.
Plus if you have your saved data from the last 2 games you can gain access to special events like visiting previous locations and fighting memorable bosses.
The battle system is not as deep as some might hope for but its fun to play and easy to get used to.
The story is nothing new to the RPG market but its very deep and invloving. It does start up slow, maybe even too slow but it picks about about half way and from there you would not want to stop til you see the end.
The series has been kn ow for some great music and this game delivers. Plus this game is based on music so its even better then the last two. You get to go around the world preforming on the streets or in concerts.
Overall its a good game. If you looking for a lenghy RPG then give this a try.
After playing through the previous 2 Legend of Heroes games on the PSP, I had to have the third installment. Much to my amazement, this is not that much like its predecessors. This is a musical RPG.
If you own the other two games in the series, this game is a must have. You can incorporate the save files from the other two games to unlock new areas where you can get power ups and rack up the experience.
This game is classic 16 bit RPG gaming at its best. This is a throw back to the days of the Super Nintendo and all the classic RPGs it brought with it. The graphics are somewhat improved versus the old SNES RPGs but the gameplay is pretty much the same as anything from the 16 bit era. The music is outstanding on the PSP, which is to be expected.
This journey is quite a bit longer than its predecessors and is much more involved. The play mechanics differ slightly versus 1 and 2 in that you can more accurately control what your pet will do based on what you feed it. This can get costly though if you keep feeding it top dollar items.
I would recommend this to all fans of old school RPGs. This is not a Final Fantasy VII or later game and makes no attempts to be one. This is good old fashioned fun that will last for hours.
The merchandise came as detailed in it's description. This was probably my best e-bay bid/purchase ever. The game was in perfect condition, it played. I bought the game to keep me occupied. I am a big fan of the Final Fantasy line and this seemed to have some of the same concepts. The bid was at a low point so I decided to try for it. After receiving it, I discovered that the story line was a bit long and tedious, not at all like FF. It was hard for me to stay focus on the game due to the story line. However, my twelve year old daughter seems to really enjoy the game and is now playing it. So I guess that it was worth it after all.
Great story line very long game awesome graphics simple controls as this series has been perfect since the companies first game which i have played all of them to Song of the Ocean you must play this game
it doesnt seem like a game for many people... but dont judge a book by its cover, the game is really fun to play. especially when you get closer and closer to the end.
