| Setting out to do for co-op gaming what Counter-Strike did for team combat, Left 4 Dead is an ambitious survival horror game. Running on the Source engine, Left 4 Dead leaves four armed survivors of a world overrun with zombies, and they must fight their way out to escape the outbreak.Designed for co-op play, the four players must work together to finish each stage of the game, lending each other artillery support, sharing ammo and rescuing each other when zombies are on top of them. In addition to the standard four players as humans, another four players can be amongst the masses of assaulting zombies, seeking to take down the other players. This game rocks! I bought this game for my husband who has been playing "Land of the Dead( Road to Fiddler's Green)" and the graphics definitely surpass that game!
If you are into first person shooter games for the PC, and don't mind a few head shots on a ton of zombies, then this is the game for you.
This game is fantastic. Please take the time to check it out before the zombies come and get you. Ha Ha. Wow, what a game!
If you like shooting zombies, then this one is for you. This is a mature themed game. Not for children.
It's worth every penny and relieves a great deal of frustration. Thanks Microsoft!

Left 4 Dead has just pushed aside, in my mind at least, Resident Evil 4 and Dead Rising as the greatest zombie game of all time (and no I don’t care that RE4 isn’t technically a zombie game.) It is slightly interesting to me that despite the fact that I have no interest whatsoever in zombie cinema or literature, I absolutely crave gaming experiences that replicate those stories. L4D is a far more straightforward approach to the concept and gameplay than I was expecting, but can in no way be considered disappointing for it. The gameplay is tightly focused but also tightly polished and packs and extreme amount of ambience into every second of play.

Unbelievable action was very surprised on the Intensiety of play In the game.
