One Great Phone!
Created: 03/03/09
This is a seemingly simple phone, but for it's size and its price, it is amazing! I don't even know how to use many of the features, but what I do know, I am impressed with. It's easy to use. I love the GPS! If you want to find a Wal-Mart for example, you can type that in, and it will tell you where several of them are, how far away they are, and how to get there, with turn by turn directions. I don't understand how so much information can fit into one little phone!
We bought this phone because my wife accidentally washed hers in the clothes washer. Before that, we got five free phones when we switched over to Verizon, which we thought was a great deal, and now it seems like an even better deal since we've never had a problem with any of them except for the time the one was washed in the laundry.
I don't usually give an EXCELLENT rating, since only God is that good, but a GOOD rating just didn't seem like it was good enough for this phone.

COUSIN UNCLE/OWNS, AUNT ONCE OWNED
Created: 02/02/11
This phone looks like a decent phone, and it works pretty good. I have never owned one, but my uncle did, and kept it in excellent shape and passed it over to my cousin who still uses it but will probably upgrade it soon.
PROS:
Excellent durability. It has been tossed around a lot but still looks good due to the factory screen protectors on it and a case.
Battery- after 3 years of owning this phone, the battery still works excellently.
Reception- as with Verizon I think you know you are going to have excellent reception!
Sound quality- One reason I chose an LG again for my new phone (Chocolate touch) is because when I had an Intensity by Samsung, it always sounded like the tone that came in was pixilated, like it was recorded. No, because when my cousins phone got the same forward it sounded excellent, and showed as MP3. 5400 and Chocolate touch always display as MP3.
Camera- pretty good for a VGA. It doesn't really lack any issues, looked more 1.3 MP, until I read the specs. Amazing that it was VGA. I truly thought it was 1.3 MP.
CONS:
Charging of the phone- this was nearly avoided, but I figured it should be mentioned. For the superb battery life that this phone has, it takes like 3 hours to charge the phone. It is the same with my Chocolate too. This may be a con to some that need their phone quickly charged.

LG VX5400 (Verizon)
Created: 10/19/10
This is a great model phone. I bought this one as a replacement for my current one due to the outer display died after four years use. Buttons have a good positive feel when pressed and are of good size. The menus are laid out logically as well. The bluetooth is of good quality and accuracy. Battery life is quite goood with recharge time about 2-1/2 hrs. Replacemtent batteries for the phone are quite reasonable, many of the Blackberry models use the same one.
If this phone has one shortcoming, I would say that the camera is it. The resolution is somewhat lacking, especially if you happen to need to see what you've taken the picture of.

Tough phone.Great service.Easy to operate!!
Created: 11/03/10
Had one before, misfortune of letting it go for a ride down a road...bounced off my 4-wheeler,and wasn't found for two weeks...rain and cell phones don't like each other. Other than that, there tough, slim, easy to carry and operate. Yes, I would buy another, because the previous one gave me great service, at an affordable price. Like the fact that it has the speaker feature. Thumbs up for the Verizon LG VX5400!!
