Very poor battery life, especially when using any apps other than voice or text. Even when using voice and/or text at a moderate rate throughout the day, half the charge is depleted within 6hours. (Note: My previous phone would go for 48hrs on one charge utilizing voice and/or text.) It does take a little time to get use to the touch screen, but does get easier after time. Touchscreen keyboard is a bit too sensititive (I find myself backspacing quite a bit to correct errors). Phone is quite bulky and heavy especially if you put a highend protecive cover on it (Mine has a "Trident" cover). Surfing the web on 3G is slow and uses up a lot of battery life. It is a 4G phone, but unfortunately there is no 4G in our area.
Screen is great, sharp resolution and bigger screen than the Iphone (we have two Iphones in our household). Lots of features. A multitude of available apps. I especially like the Accuweather app that was preloaded on mine, it's given me the most accurate wx forecast of any of the wx services. Better value than the Iphone; due to it being about half the price and doing pretty much the same thing.
In summary, if it wasn't for the poor battery performance, and slow surfing speeds (I can deal with the bulkiness 'cause tablets are even bigger and heavier,-wife has a "Kindle"-) If this phone was lighter, faster and had better battery life, Apple would have some great competition. As it is, I have to give it an rating overall of average to good .
I LOVE this phone! BUT there is a price for all of its features & power. It SUCKS battery, however the Gingerbread update helps SOME.
The large screen is nice especially with the hd video capability. But I cant stand to talk on it without a bluetooth because it is so heavy & bulky (especially with the high cap. battery.) .
The docking apps are a bit limited, but I still like the optional Auto Bracket when driving for Maps & safer easy access while on the road.
When I was shopping for a new phone I was between a newer/bigger Android and the iPhone 4s. My heart chose the LG Revolution mainly for the front and rear facing cameras, the 4G capability and the removable 16gb micro SD card that was included.
I love the versatility of the phone. The front facing camera is great for video chatting. The rear camera can take HD pictures and videos. Netflix built in is awesome and streams flawlessly, even on 3G (I don't have 4G LTE available in my area yet.
First smartphone I have owned. It was a rude awaking on how short the battery life really is. I do enjoy having email and internet at my finger tips. Just wished you could use it longer on a single charge. Over all the phone is good and would buy again if this was the only phone offered.
I like it has a bigger screen and better keyboard and the battery life is ok but I have a portable charger and it works great for this phone I would really recommend this product
