|Today, smartphones are not just for business; they're for everyone. First-time smartphone users - from teenagers to thirtysomethings - want simpler, more meaningful ways to connect with families, friends, and communities. They don't want a complicated phone experience. Instead, they seek quick access to things that make their lives easier, to keep them on the go and in the know.Remember Goldilocks? "This bed is too soft; this bed is too hard; this bed is just right." It's the same for smartphones. Some are like toys, others overwhelming. But the sleek and intuitive LG Optimus T, powered by Android 2.2, with its 3.2" touchscreen, is just right-especially for smartphone newbies. Optimus T features Google Voice actions, so tasks like online search, shopping, and music are an easy voice command away. What's more, Optimus T has the ability to connect to Wi-Fi hotspots, or when no hotspot is available, it can share its innate Internet connection with other devices. Smart.|

I purchased this phone to transfer existing service from Sprint PCS to a prepaid GSM network operator in my area, and this turned out to be SIMPLE Mobile. My primary goal for this was cost-savings, and since I used an LG Optimus S LS670 with Sprint, this phone would have been the GSM-version twin brother for a practically seamless transition. It is important to use an unlocked phone, such as the one I purchased. Otherwise, you will only get to use the phone with the carrier it is married to.
For a budget-conscious, entry-level phone, it is fantastic and provides an excellent bang for the buck. For the best experience, I strongly advise you research on rooting the phone and loading a custom-made ROM easily found online.
Some of the features I like best about this phone as I have it now: Android Gingerbread 2.2.3 which runs much better than 2.2.2 Froyo; FREE native USB tethering using free Android USB driver availabe from T-Mobile; FREE native Wi-Fi hotspot... yes it works and it's phenomenal; quadband GSM phone which means you can use this phone anywhere in the world with a SIM from the network operator where you use the phone; 3.5mm stereo jack; A-GPS ready using Google Navigation.
The phone's speakerphone is nice and loud and calls are crisp and clear. It's a touchscreen-only phone which takes some getting used to, but it works great. The built-in 3 megapixel camera doesn't include flash, so it will only work well with optimal illumination. It records video to 3GGP format which can be easily converted to AVI and MPG using third-party software. The audio and video quality when recording video footage isn't the best, however, as one would expect from a budget phone like this.
If you are looking to lower your cell phone bill and get a decent bang for your buck, this makes a great choice. I'm very happy with it.
It's my first Android, I upgrade that also with new google Map 5 I'm enjoying phone, I'm using many apps @ same time but never hanged.. I'm happy with size screen resolution voice recorder speaker wireless bluetooth and other stuff I need, I dont hv any Idea about games cuz I don't hv time to do that..
Really good price for an excellent phone. Has many features of other high-end phones. Comes with a number of useful pre-loaded apps and very easy to download others to fully customize the phone. Very good talk time and battery life. Overall performance is also generally good though carrying a 600MHz CPU. The major disadvantage though is that there is NO FLASH SUPPORT in the browser despite Froyo OS. Nonetheless still pretty satisfied with my first Android phone purchase. Well recommended.
I bought the LG Optimus T for my wife as her first smart phone and she really likes it. The phone comes with most of the features of high end phones without the high price. The battery lasts 2 days on a single charge. It is very light and not bulky at all. Touchscreen is a bit small for me but perfect for her. All in all a very good value for the price I would probably buy another if not just to have a good backup.
Coming from a Samsung Intercept on virgin mobile this phone is amazing.
The colors look very crisp and clear, the camera takes great pictures and the screen actually appears to be a tiny bit bigger than a 3.2 compared to other 3.2 screens I've saw (samsung intercept).
The battery life is great I manage to get through a whole day using it as a mp3 player, texting, web use, and calling and still have a half a battery at the end of the day.
However, I do miss having a keyboard but after using the phone for a good week I'm much faster with swype than with my physical keyboard on the Samsung Intercept.
