The LG Neon is stylish and compact, with a spacious keyboard, a music player, a megapixel camera, and good call quality. It's affordable as well.
The LG Neon's display is a touch screen, but only for the phone dialer application. It only has tri-band GSM, the photo quality is average, and the EDGE speed is too slow for over-the-air music downloads.
Despite a few quirks, the LG Neon is a good simple messaging phone from AT&T.

I bought this phone because I wanted something cheap to replace my broken phone quick and AT&T doesn't offer many options for sideways sliders without a full touch screen. After using the phone for about two weeks, I've decided it's not for me. I would prefer a 4 line keyboard and one that's a little less difficult to type on. Additionally, the phone lags quite a bit when switching from portrait to landscape upon sliding the QWERTY keyboard out.
The call quality is actually quite good and the phone can hold 250 sent and 250 received messages and has a decent build quality. Except for the problems I listed, it's a decent phone as an entry level texting device. However, I would advice sticking a piece of paper on top of the battery between the cover so that the battery doesn't come loose; I experienced that problem a few times.
Good phone for basic texting and calling; for the users that require a bit more power, I would not recommend this phone.
this phone sucks!! It drops calls all the time. It connects but you can't hear anybody on the other line but apparently they are there. AND MOST ANNOYINGLY, which I found out after I called to complain to att, (a common problem with this phone) YOU WILL DIAL AND WON'T HEAR ANY RINGING OR ANY OTHER INDICATION THAT THE CALL IS BEING PLACED....THAT IS FOLLOWED BY EITHER SILENCE AND DISCONNECT OR THE AUDIO FROM THE CONNECTED PERSON FINALLY COMING THROUGH AFTER BEING CONNECTED FOR ABOUT 2-20 SECONDS. if silence and disconnect, the other person always says, " you couldn't hear me?...I was saying hello" Not a good look to the clients I am calling as this is a phone for my business. WORTHLESS PHONE!!!! do not buy..
and the screen scratches every time the wind blows. not cool for a phone that's screen is always exposed. Had the phone for about a month or 2 and it looks worse than other phones i have treated like crap and had for 5-7 years.
phone is small which makes it very easy to manage. It is worth the price. this phone comes equipped with a slide quewrty key board along with its touch screen capabilty which can only be use based on certain functions. Overall good phone for the price!
We purchased a cell phone because it was easy and quick.. so we thought. The phone did take a bit longer to get here however the problem was it looked new complete with plastic on the screen but wouldent work with pics or vids. After contacting at&t we found the dot next to the battery was showing water damage. Now we cant get it fixed though At&t.The 100 doller phone is only a phone now. Well never again will we purchase any product though the company we used. There way to solve the prob is send it back and we are out of a phone for who knows how long. So we made a mistake ordering though this company. Lesson learned
i bought the neon from bestbuy and it's without a doubt the worst phone i've ever had. the silver on the self portrait mirror begins to scratch off within 2 weeks so it makes taking self portraits more difficult, the phone shuts off on me all the time, especially when i close the phone too fast, and the touch screen also only works for the dial pad and that really upset me. as far as texting goes, it'll work for someone who can't text fast. if you type too fast it skips letters, and since the directional buttons are placed on the o, k, l, and m keys, when you hit one of them and you're typing too fast, it'll make the cursor go that direction so you're typing where ever the directional button took you. call quality is the only thing i like about this phone, the sound comes through clear and loud. i was however unimpressed with the signal retention. it's almost like the phone threw a fit and decided to lose the signal because it would go away one bar at a time until the call was dropped. and i was sitting in the same place the entire time. overall i was unimpressed with this phone so i'm out here searching for a new one because i can't deal with the neon until the contract runs out. good luck with your phone search and don't buy this phone.
