I would buy one again for as a cell phone and texting device it is great.

My cell phone "baselines" included a Moto W377G "flip phone" (more recent) and a Nokia 1650 (previous), both from Net10. My usage had been for voice only then increasingly voice & text the past two years. I have no interest the Internet & email access features of cell phones.
I had discovered that Net10 had become expensive compared to other 'pay-as-you-go' providers, esp after a friend recommended PagePlus Cellular. I wanted a phone that featured a keyboard for testing (I'm all thumbs with a regular keypad). After finding the LG Cosmos on EBay from Mobile Karma (recommend them highly as a seller with excellent prices, fast service and products better than advertized), I researched user opinion on which I based my purchase. have found to suit my needs extremely well and have been very happy with my purchase. Battery life could be longer but have found that is in large part due to how far one is from a provider tower and therefore the amount of RF power the phone uses during idle for it's "I am here" hand shake with the tower. Otherwise all features work exactly as advertized. Purchased DataPilot V7.0 separately to manage my "address book", photos, ring tones, etc. at which it does a good job.

All in all if you are looking for a phone to be used as a telephone (imagine that!) and a texting device, this phone does the job very well. The camera works about as good as any other camera on a cell phone, I guess, for those quick snaps that you want to send to someone on the fly (else, I use my 8Megapixel SLR for serious work).

But, if you want a cell phone that has "talking on a phone" as an after thought feature, then this phone is not for you and you will likely be much better off with a Droid or iPhone.

Great phone. Worthwhile purchase.

The phone is easy to use, without having to add on more expensive features. It is the type of phone for those who want to easily text without having to bother with a Touch screen or even with additional internet charges. You can use features such as the VZ Navigator which has saved me a few times while traveling.

I bought this product because my contract is not up and my phone went dead. I love that it has the slide out keyboard. The one I clicked on to order said it was brand new and this one is not so the battery does not hold a charge for long and there are many scratches on it. I was very disappointed that it did not come with a book so I had to figure out things on my own and I still am wondering how to do things.
When it is time for me to be able to get a brand new phone this model is in the running. The big thing I am looking for is a slide out keyboard.

Decent phone for the $

Phone is simple and easy to use for my 12 year old. It is a replacement phone for one he lost. it is easy to use and small in size we liked the price we got from eBay, I would not pay any more then we did for this phone. It came a little beat up so definitely a "used" phone!

Excellent. Exactly what I was looking for. Much better for me than the touch screen DROID. Living and working in very low intermittent service areas the features of the DROID were not beneficial and I had a really hard time texting. I prefer the feel of the buttons on the Cosmos Keyboard.
