The LG Accolade is well made and offers agreeable performance. The feature set is functional.
The LG Accolade doesn't record video and photo quality is unremarkable. Speakerphone quality is a bit distorted.
The LG Accolade isn't the best camera phone, but it succeeds where a cell phone should.

This phone is very nice and unique. It is well made, the battery is decent and the screen is beautiful. The features are great as well, add the memory card you have a 1st class deal.
However, I found using this phone awkward at times because of the rotating screen. It is strange dialing and using for everyday use sometimes but is still nice for texting messaging compared to other standard phones.
The rotating screen would be much less of an issue if I had constant access to mobile tv like I used to when I travelled more. Now I am at home more and I have no access to the service so the phone became a little annoying.
In looking for a phone to replace (and update) a Motorola Razor, I purchased this LG phone. Moving from a Razor to this LG phone has been fairly easy with the only difficulty experienced revolving around a Verizon rep who did not know that Verizon phones can be mixed with Alltel phones on an old Alltel calling plan now carried by Verizon.
I do not use my phone for internet browsing so many of this phone's features are of no use to me. All I want is a phone that will handle calls and voice mail. Thus far, this phone seems to be fitting these needs rather nicely.
This is the smallest cell phone I have ever owned. While the pictures of this product on Ebay are accurate, I was still surprised how small this phone was when I opened the package.
Pros of this phone;
The battery life has been impressive. After a full charge, my phone has lasted 8 days without needing a recharge. If this is typical for future usage, this will be a mighty impressive pro for this phone.
I had no problems activating this phone on Verizon even though my plan was an old Alltel plan that Verizon picked up when they purchased Alltel. Some Verizon reps have said that if you have an Alltel plan, all of your phones have to be Alltel compatabile BUT THIS IS NOT TRUE! Even though Verizon has picked up the Alltel plans, you CAN have both Verizon and Alltel phones on an old Alltel calling plan.
Call quality seems to be excellent. Built in camera functions at a level you would expect for a phone/camera of this size.
Cons of this phone;
This is not the easiest phone to open as there are no grab points. I have almost dropped this phone on a couple of occasions because the outside surface of this phone is slick.
The camera button on the right hand side of the phone is easy to accidentally press, thus turning the camera on. You get used to this after awhile but it has been annoying.
Durability is a concern - this phone is very lightweight. While that makes it convenient to carry, I'm not sure how well it would tolerate being dropped. If you are a frequent phone dropper, this may not be the phone for you. Or, you may want to consider a protective case. If you are a frequent texter, you may want to consider other phones.
I had this phone for a year and absolutely loved it. I had very few if any problems with it at all. (Many people know the virtually all LG phones have a tendency to turn themselves off, which mine did every now and then). When it came time for me to upgrade with my plan. I got the voyager and liked it but I missed my "T-phone" so much that I came to Ebay to find another one.
It has a large, bright display, great battery life, is not too big, and honestly just looks really cool. It's very durable. I often drive with my phon in my lap and have forgotten about it countless time, causing my phone to hit the concrete when I get out. Because the keypad doesn't rest against the screen you can sit with the phone in your back pocket and know there will be no indentations in your screen. I will miss my full keyboard on my Voyager but I think its more than a fair trade off.
The only thing to watch on this phone is the key positioning. It may take a minute to get used to the location of the "clear" key. It slows down your texting at first but is not a major problem.
I would recommend this phone over virtually any other verizon phone. Like I said, if you are a huge fan of keyboards or touchscreens, this has neither. Otherwise, it's a great phone and I can't understand why verizon has stopped selling them new. (At least they did in my area)
This a great phone for someone that wants just a basic phone. Good signal strength and sounds great on both ends. Easy to use and a good physical size. I is a touch smaller than a business card when closed.
Battery life is awesome. I am not a heavy phone user (no home phone, just a cell)but today is 7/10/10 and the last time I charged the phone was 6/16/10 and I still have two bars left. But I don't text, email, bluetooth or surf the web with it.
One of the reasons I choose this one is it charges through USB. So you can charge anywhere there is a computer.
The only negitive is you can not transfer pictures through the USB cable or bluetooth and I am not going to email them to myself at $.25 a pop; so the camera will not get used.
I bought the same thing at Wal-Mart and tried to assign it to my contract account through the web site and failed. Web site said you can not put a pre-pay phone on my account. So I returned it. Then I bought this one on ebay, but the listing did not have a picture, so I didn't know I was getting the same thing. You have to assign it to your account by dialing *228, enter your phone number and the last four of your SS# and it works. My account now says pre-pay on it, but my bill has not changed for the past two months.
This is a great phone for my needs and if something happens to this one, I will be buying another one like it.
This phone is very easy to use. It has a standard phone keypad, rather than the full keyboard that many phones have these days. I don't like the phones with full keyboards usually because they are awkward shapes and just too big, so I love that this phone is still pretty compact. This is not a flip-phone, but the screen swivels. When in the closed position, the send, end, clear, ok, and arrow buttons are visible/able to be used, and then one must swivel the screen open to use the keypad. You can use the phone in either direction you like and can open/close the phone during phone calls as you wish. This phone does have the TV capabilities, however I have never used them so I can't comment on that aspect. I bought this phone form the Verizon store in June 2007, and it lasted me to June 2010. I replaced the battery once over those three years, and it remained in great physical condition considering numerous falls, so it is a very durable phone. In June 2010 I went to the Verizon store to replace my phone as the scratches were starting to bother me, and upon finding no phones of interest to me for the aforementioned reasons of awkward shape and size, I decided to order this phone again off eBay. This phone is great and will certainly satisfy you.
