Pro's - Camera is light
takes out Full HD video
capable of supporting 32GB memory card
comes with charger with a range of 100 to 240V which means it can be used just about anywhere
has a USB port on it so its easy to transfer video at any time
Con's - HD video is a bit grainy
There is no flash so you cant take out good pics in low light
Video in low light looks bad
the built-in microphone records very low
i love the Kodak Zi8 i got two of the Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera Camcorder
i got them for the Audio-Technica ATR3350 Condenser Cable Microphone and they works good to together .
I've done some research on this camera and read all the reviews for it, to include watching some samples on youtube to determine the quality of the picture and also the sound quality. The picture when tested looks great in bright lights, clear. Don't know if it has image stablizer, didn't appear too bad on when hooked up on the HDMI and view on TV. During limited lighting, the picture is alright, nothing that I can't see thru the LCD and determine what I am looking at. You will need to adjust the settings for area of limite lighting. Overall, not a bad digital HD camcorder with a 5.3 MP camera. I'm only using it to capture quick moments while on the road. I believe you will like this camera, it has gotten some good reviews from other users. I will be doing more test with wide angle and macro lenses and see the difference in quality.
Good things: 1080p or 720p (option for 720p 60 fps or 30 fps), Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), easy to use, good image quality, external mic jack (haven't used yet but nice feature), small, good still shots (5 megapixel), good battery life.
Other things: Not so good low light recording quality, digital zoom only

Bottom line: Awesome camcorder, very happy with it!
Great for quick video DAYLIGHT captures only. Falls short for any type of "zoom" pics/video and any pics/video recording after evening. Even evening captures are questionable. It is VERY GOOD in bright daylight. Battery does not last more than 50 minutes even though it is quoted for 90 minutes. On board software takes quite a while to burn a DVD. takes me several hours to burn 80 minutes of video captures with a 2.8Ghz/2G XP machine. If using direct capture from the Zi8 on to a separate DVD recorder, the video shows up with a red timer progress bar that i have yet to see how to remove. You can do this capture(burn directly to DVD) in the same time span that you are watching the video. Using the built in Arc software does remove the red bar although, it is a much slower process. Overall, a very good product for just quick DAYTIME video captures and no where near the quality of a "real" camcorder for low light recording. Camera shots are of pretty poor quality in daylight and very, very poor at low light settings.
