I can make almost any camera work for my needs. However this camera surpasses EVERY expectation I have had of a digital camera.
I usually go for the cheapo cameras whenever mine breaks (which they always do since I'm not paying for quality). Finally I decided to pay a little bit more and get something from Kodak, who usually produces good cameras for good prices. I definitely got my money's worth with this camera! It takes amazing pictures no matter what megapixel setting you choose. I absolutely LOVE the touch screen. It is responsive to any touch (although I have noticed sometimes it doesn't like to acknowledge touches to the utmost corners), and the touchscreen so far has been amazingly durable. The zoom is a little on the poor side, being 3x optical (I don't particularly like digital zoom).
I have found the camera has many features that are simply put, nice touches. I like the way you can scroll through the pictures when you are reviewing them by "sliding" them across the screen (similar to an iTouch or iPhone). I like how easy the camera is to use, right out of the box. It may look complicated at first, but the buttons and options are pretty self explanatory, and I have found the setup to be simple and straightforward. No guessing here!
I swear by Kodak and have bought a new one every year just to have the latest technology. In Feb 2008 I bought Kodak's V1253 and it was by far the WORST camera I've ever owned! By May 2008 I was so frustrated with it I had to replace it!
With only one bad Kodak experience in over 13 years, I tried again with the Kodak V1073 and LOVE IT!!!! From the moment I took it out of the box and started taking pictures I was in love! Snap and shoot perfect pictures every time! Inside, outside, still pictures, or things in motion (KIDS!) it took perfectly clear pictures EVERY time with the innovative smart capture feature that automatically identifies the scene and adjusts settings for a great picture in just about any environment It has 10 megapixels with 3X optical zoom. I really like the wide-angle large 3 inch LCD for great viewing of my pictures! Not to mention in-camera charging that works with USB cable connected to computer or with USB wall charger INCLUDED with this camera!
If you want a small digital camera with easy to use features, lots of megapixels, great zoom, a large LCD screen, and crisp, clear pictures every time you take a picture - this is the camera for you!
I purchased this camera because I wanted one that I could easily fit into my purse or pocket. I already own one kodak digital camera and love it! When we bought our Easy Share 7440 we compared pictures we took with the Kodak, an hp and a Nikon (all cameras were the same specs and pictures were taken with all cameras on the same settings and in the same conditions). The Kodak won hands down. So, naturally I went back to Kodak.
I would recommend the V1073 to anyone. Like my first Kodak, I didn't have to pour over the manual to figure out how to use it. I took it out of the box and started shooting pics and video. The picture quality is excellent! The display screen is very large and it is touch screen which I really enjoy. When I read reviews on this camera the only real negative that I could find was complaints about having trouble operating the touch screen because the touch points are small. I, however, have big hands have had no trouble at all.
There were several obvious upgrades from my 7440 like megapixels, optical zoom, etc., but another upgrade that I really like is the fact that I do not have t take the battery out to charge it. This camera comes with a cord that plugs right into it, like you would a cell phone. This reduces the number of times I have to open and close my batter/sd card door. My way of thinking is the fewer times I have to open it the less wear and tear. It also reduces the changes that my battery will be misplaced. :)
So to sum up:
Size, easy of use, touch screen, picture quality, video has sound, in camera battery charging, price, large display screen, range of picture taking settings, good zoom.
The only con I can possibly think of is the video sound is not that loud when played back on the camera.
I would recommend this camera to anyone.
I like the touchscreen feature you see a picture you dont like and you just touch the delete icon and it just disappears after prompting you to be sure.the Camera has alot of features that are great you can put a tag on pictures, the battery lasted very long after a charge.and once I tried the video capture I couldn t believe the video and sound Quality I recorded myself playing Guitar then played it back on the computer it was very fun love the cameras.
I love this camera so much. It is a great product. I use it all the times. It takes excellent pictures. I especially love the long video recording. I don't have to buy a camcorder again. I love the touch screen feature too.
I bought this camera because it has tons of features: from HD capture mood, to high ISO for taking night photos. Although the screen isn't the best outside( that's because it's touch screen I believe), but when you upload or print the pictures, it just blow you away. I would recommend it to anyone.
