Solid photo quality for its class; well-rounded if rudimentary feature set; slim, sturdy body; simple operation.
Lackluster video; only a three-shot burst.
Kodak's EasyShare M1033 is a better-than-average budget ultracompact.

After dropping my husband's M1033 on the bike trail, I set out to find a replacement camera. Figured it would be a good time to trade up. So I bought an M575. Hated it. It was a terrible camera. I ended up getting rid of it, and purchasing a new, returned C185 for cheap. That camera was ok, but I always LOVED the M1033. The one I dropped was still working, but starting to work intermittently, due to the cracked shell. I ended up finding a used one here on Ebay and am so happy I have the M1033 again. I just might be the point and shoot I stay with for a while. I want a DSLR eventually, but even if I got one, having this nice little gem in my purse and handy at all times is indispensable!
For some eason...I thought it'd be a bit better...it's better than my older Kodak but...I don't know. The picture quality is good but it isn't anything great. It's just a good camera for the prce I guess. Ans since I got it on ebay it was REALLY good for the price:D
Already having a large Nikon camera which takes 14.1 Megapixel photos, I was not surprised to find that this camera takes slightly poor photos. However, the photos are very nice for a 10 megapixel camera. I especially liked the long-time exposure option, which allowed me to take low-light photos much better than I could with the large Nikon.(I was very impressed.)I did notice that at times the camera seemed to be slightly laggy, and sometimes took a little while to save photos, so perhaps a processor upgrade would help.
The camera is quite small, and easily fits in a pocket.(this is the reason I bought it.)
Overall, I've been very pleased with my purchase. I'd definitely buy it again.
Fantastic camera. Works like a charm and good quality. Sharp picture in a small compact size. Great for night shooting due to a good flash with a fast recharge.
I bought this as a gift for my granddaughter. Actually I bought 2 of the same cameras for 2 granddaughters. I picked this camera because I have one like it as does my sister. It's a great camera for the price. It's small and easy to tuck away. Pictures are very good for a small camera. Only fault is that it doesn't take good in darker lighting conditions, but I guess you have to pay more to get that feature. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality.
