I bought this camera to replace my previous digital camera which I was giving to my mother for her to learn how to use a digital camera as she was the only person in SA still using rolls of film! I Chose the Kodak EASYSHARE C1550 for the 16mp for a better quality photo, and the fact that it has a larger screen for viewing photos (3"). I love the design which is quite modern and sits in your hand well, and a great variety of bright colors to choose from to personalise your camera. The camera bag which was a bonus is great as it is a neat snug fit so camera doesn't take up much room in my bag. The feature I love the most is the onscreen written directions and definitions which I find very useful as I am still finding my way with this new camera technology, so overall this camera is very user friendly. My only negatives was that the recharge cord had an american plug end, but thats no ones fault as I chose to purchase overseas and can buy an adaptor, my only other negative is that when viewing photos the camera has to be turned on which means the shutter is open, whereas my previous camera you were able to hit the view photo button and you could look at a slideshow without turning the actual camera on. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and I bought it brand new for much less than it is worth. I would definately recommend to others in need of a quality, value for money snappy looking camera that produces clear quality photographs and assists the photographer along the way with helpful hints
I wanted the M350, but for my limited purposes, this little camera is fine. I purchased it used and it didn't come with the USB cable, but I was able to purchase one locally. Hooked it up to the computer and Kodak took care everything required so that I can download the photos. Shutter speed is a little on the slow side, making photos of animals and birds a tad difficult. Haven't figured out how to remove date stamp yet. I also don't like having to manually set the flash. For a used camera for limited purposes, it's a good deal. I wouldn't buy this model new at full retail price.
It is a strong buy for everyone.Fast and accurate auto-focus, good image quality and image stabilization. Good in low light. Great zoom, large clear LCD. Small and compact, very handy and easy to carry it around. The life of the batteries is an issue, you should get rechargable batteries. It works well when you have a distracting or unattractive background that you want to keep out of focus, or just want to have more creative options in your images. It is a Budget digital camera with Better than average features.
I bought this camera because Ilove the easyshare line. My old Kodak was worn out!!I take picture of my doga and send them to friends. It is small, easy to use, and very easy to post on line. I love it.
I like the small size, easy to carry in my purse, and the pictures are stunning.
I like it better than any camera I have ever owned, as a matter of fact. I would reccomend it to anyone.
Pros: It fits in your pockets, quick shots, simple to use. A bargain for a 16mp camera.
Cons: The more advance feature instructions require a trip to Kodak Web Site. AA batteries and SD card needed to use it. It's not a water proof camera.
Summary: C1550 ha 16 mp and the lens has a closer zoom range . This is a basic mid range point and shoot camera. 5X Zoom with 5X Digital Zoom. 3" LCD screen make checking to picture for flaws a snap. Easy to use and share.
