Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol Encore 2 (Wii, 2008)

This is amazing, I have had so much fun, it is so realistic with Paula and Simon and all the personal judging which the computer software has the ability to know whether you have hit the right notes on time and if you hold them for the longest time, even allowing you to sing in an octave fit for you. The only drawback for me was, there were not enough songs, so far...as it does allow you to open up more songs to sing if you get high points for a song, I grew up in the 70's and love R and B and the classics and rock classics, so maybe I will find out it will open up more songs to sing, you can even compete, or be judged to pass or fail, hopefully they will make more of these with different or more song choices, I am having a blast. Alot of options and good for having parties to compete also gives scores and crowd scores,... facinating. worth every penny. Great!!! I am not sure how American Idol 1 was for wii, maybe not as good, ....

It's a fun game! I like that there are 40+ songs (even though I only know about 10 songs....) and that there are multiple levels to choose from (even though "hard" and "expert" are the fairest levels, the ones I play more often since the other ones let too much slide by).

I would recommend checking out the song list before purchasing. If you only like ten songs or less from the list, I wouldn't purchase it because singing the same dozen of songs over and over again gets boring. It has many levels to accomodate the tone deaf and the professionals, even though "hard" feels like it should be "medium".

It's a good game, lots of fun, but it's one of those games that I only play every now and then because the song selection rarely changes, and you have to be in the mood to sing too :)

I bought this for my twelve year old daughter because 1) she loves to sing 2) she wants to be a "star" someday and 3) we like to watch AI together. Although it is fun and is supposed to be tracking how well you stay on tune, the judges comments don't correspond with your supposed performance. So for instance, my voice is lousy and she and I can sing against each other. She may end up with a better score yet get a lousy review from the judges, while I, who can't stand to hear myself sing, will get accolades. It would be more fine if they had the comments make sense with the score.

This is a great game. Many of the songs are by the original artists. There are a total of 40 songs which you will sing all of them. An improvement would be more songs.

But, the game is still challenging because you can still play 'Mystery Challenge' where they choose the songs for you to do.
If you have 2 microphones it is alotta fun but its still a good time if you only have the one.

I just bought AI Encore original since I liked AI Encore 2 so much.

One thing,, don't think you're a good singer just cause you score so well!! That is an illusion! I am horrible singing in "real life" but on AI, I can rock it out :)

We love watching American Idol so we decided to buy the first Karaoke Revolution and Encore 2. We have enjoyed playing them for many hours at a time. There is quite a variety of songs to choose from and its exciting to hear what the judges have to say about your singing. We like the fact that you can choose the whole song or a shortened version of it. Also, you can make it easy or more difficult if you like. It's a great game for all ages.
