I wasn't all that familiar with John Mayall, but I read so many great reviews about this DVD I decided to take a chance. I enjoy music concerts when there are special guests that appear, it adds to the show. Anyway, this is a great DVD, songs that I never heard before but liked instantly. I with no doubt recommend this DVD, a great show to listen to over and over again.
If you like, or love blues this dvd video and cd audio would ad alot to your collection. The sound was so good I listened to it 3 times in the first day. These musicians are excellent. A large amount of content on this DVD. The bluesy sounds are great.
I am a big blues lover and John Mayall has promoted many wonderful musicians like Coco Montoya, Walter Trout and even Eric Clapton. John is still great, even at 70 years old. I can not wait to buy His 80th Birthday party DVD. Keep on making good music, John.
If you are a fan of great blues music, you will like this DVD alot. Highly recomended for guitar players and fans of guitar music as the performences by Buddy W., Eric Clapton., and Mick Jones alone, are worth more than the price of the dvd.
What a brilliant concert. Brings together several of the greats of English blues in one memorable concert + I hope allows many who don't know him to experience the brilliance of 'Mr nice guy' Buddy Whittington. This DVD is a must for any blues collector.
