Movie synopsis
Toby (Jami Gertz) is a New Jersey girl looking for love--and since she hasn't been too successful with the local boys, she's decided to try her luck in the Big Apple. So when she crashes her well-worn Beetle into a brand new Mercedes, she realizes that this may be her chance to meet Mr. Right. The Mercedes belongs to Sal (Dylan McDermott), a high-powered businessman who could make all of Toby's dreams come true. Unfortunately, Sal already has a girlfriend, and in any case, he's not too thrilled with this pushy lower-class gal. But appearances aren't everything, as Sal and Toby will discover together after a long and difficult courtship.

Jami Gertz at her best!

I admit that my purchase of this movie is because of Jami Gertz. Becoming an admirer of her because of her television series Still Standing, I am determined to see her other work, some of which I've never seen before. I'm not disappointed at all with this purchase. Jami is a real delight in this film. She gives a great performance with much subtlety and emotional variety. But most important for me is how likable she is--something I find in almost all of her performances. When I watch Jami, I think to myself, "This is someone I'd marry". Her characters are usually that likable for me. (Note, Jami Gertz is happily married. It's her performances that elicit this response in me.) By the way, Jami can also play more intense characters, such as Kat in Lip Service.
Additionally, Dylan McDermott does a great job as well. I feel they have great chemistry on screen. Perhaps this film is a bit formulaic for some, but for me it's a time-tested formula that stands up. If you're in the mood for an enjoyable romantic film, look no further.

I should be getting this DVD very soon and i cant wait im so happy that i found u and that i got this DVD at a very low price I love Jersey Girl so much all i wanna say is thank you.

Great movie! Dylan McDermott looks great if you're a fan!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great movie if you are a sucker for romance! Dylan McDermott is great and looks even better. As a romantic comedy this works!

Jersey Girl

Loved the movie. Typical Cinderella story with a bit of a twist. This is the second copy of the movie I have owned so that shows you what a good movie it is. Besides, Dylan McDermott is totally hot!!!!
