Superstar Performance by Superstar Performer

Janet Jackson is an unbelievable performer, and this shines through on this DVD. The choice of songs and her ability to reproduce the original amazing versions is outstanding. At some points you almost believe that she's lip-syncing, only to have a brief twist to the song or her speaking to the crowd and confirm the live content. Her looks and physique are astonishing. She's obviously very proud of her appearance, and so she should be. The audio quality is superb for a surround system, though limited to 4.1 surround in Dolby. However, the DTS version adds a further dimension.

Slight warning with respect to the opening sequence that sees her playfully running through the Hawaiian landscape, throwing her shirt to the side, and allowing a very obvious view of her breasts as she transcends through a waterfall and onto the stage. Once on stage, she is appropriately covered with a variety of colorful outfits that exploit her washboard stomach, yet blend in very well with the Hawaiian backdrop.

Janet Jackson - Live in Hawaii - Excellent Viewing

I saw this video when it was first aired. I thought the performance was WAYYY off the charts. I was so surprised at how much Janet allowed us to see. Including the in-between costume changes. That was awesome. I have more of an appreciation for her, she really seems down to earth. I was also impressed that she got down and dirty with a lap dance that Beyonce' can't touch with a ten foot pole. You normally don't see this with a Jackson. I love Janet!!! This is a must see, the songs are great and her performance is outstanding.

I bought this because I saw it previously on HBO. Janet Jackson did a wonderful performance, with some VERY INTERESTING audience participation! She sang most of her popular songs during the whole concert. Her wardrobe was spectacular as usual, and the video shows the behind-the-scenes action as Ms. Jackson changes into each outfit. It's interesting how celebrities change clothes so quickly--I've always wanted to know. Highly recommended purchase!

Great motivator

This is one of my favorite workout DVD's. I watch it while I ride my eliptical. Janet's high energy, flat stomach and my own singing to my favorites motivates me to keep moving and burning more and more calories.

I really liked the live concert, what I loved about the live concert was janet dressing sexy, and pulling the fans on stage, strapping them down, and getting on top of them, and kissing them.
