I bought this DVD collection because these movies--with the exception of the 1933 version of "The Invisible Man"--are difficult to find. "The Invisible Man" was a classic in its day, despite the fact that it shows its age when viewed now. What impressed me was how close the movie follows H.G. Wells' book. In addition, Claude Rains' voice was spectacular. However, what keeps me from giving this product an above-average rating was that the other movies don't seem to match up to the first one, although Vincent Price's portrayal in "The Invisible Man Returns" was well above par. For fans of the old Universal movies, this should be a good addition to your collection.
"The Invisible Man" was state of the art in special effects for its time, and its story lives on in the modern film "Hollow Man". However hollow man is nothing compared to the wicked classic original. The sequels aren't so bad either for a great dvd collection. I would highly recommend this film for anyone in a society with no respect for the classics.
This is a great set of movies. The original Invisible Man is a classic. The special effects are before their time.I loved this movie as a kid and it is as good as I remember it.
This set also includes the Invisible Man Returns and is another great movie. Vincent Price does an awesome job as the next Invisible Man.
The third Movie was a bit of a disappointment it is called The Invisible Woman, this movie is a comedy and is OK.
There is one more movie on this set called The Invisible Agent and I havent had a chance to watch it yet.
This is a great set.
This is the best way to collect Universal horror. Trying to put them together seperatly is just silly. Aside from the Legacy Collections, 6, there are Universal films you are still forced to purchase seperatly, like Cat People, but this and the other 6 sets create a firm foundation. Lastly, the films are classics and you do need to view everyone, not some complete-ist's fetish.
