Industry Reviews
"For a comprehensive introduction to Freud's own writings, there is no doubt that the Introductory Lectures and the New Introductory Lectures are the easiest reading....They make a tome (almost 700 pages) rather than a book, and I personally prefer, for the New Lectures at least, the old and less pedantic translation by W.J. H. Sprott (with Strachey's help) put out by the same publisher [BRD 1933]....the new collection is recommended fot those who like, or should own for professional reasons, thick books with lots of footnotes and cross-references."

Hey, I'm not Freudian, but there is enough accuracy in Freud's theories to merit the attention of a thinking person. Note: thinking. Lots of people are offended by Freud, but I agree with Aristotle, "the sign of an educated mind is that it can entertain an idea without adopting it." People who can't read Freud without being influenced in a way they don't want to are weak-minded and simpering in their wills.
